(Did you think I was going to include the date? HA! Nah, writer's block has its hooks on me again, so I'm just gonna skip ahead a bit. Sorry. Also, relating to the rating of this book, I'm only 19 but my mind is older-)
Braden and Elijah had gone on 2 dates over the week after they had met each other, although the two still weren't aware of the other's feelings. Sub, Denis, and Alex were constantly teasing them-Denis and Sub more so-about the dates.
Elijah gathered up all of his courage as he got ready for yet another date. "I can do this," he told Sub, who was over at his house, "all I have to do is tell him I love him, and then BOOM, boyfriend!" Sub rolled his eyes playfully. "Does the boyfriend go boom, or do you go boom?" he asked. Elijah grinned. "My heart goes boom!" he replied with enthusiasm, putting a hand to his forehead dramatically. Sub pushed Elijah out of the door, chuckling at his nonsense. "Get outta here; go get yourself a boyfriend. Just don't explode in the process." Sub said. Elijah turned around and winked before heading out, saying, "No promises, Subway!" The other rolled his eyes again, grinning. "Don't call me that!" he yelled after the younger of the two, who was skipping away.
Braden took a deep breath as he pictured how he would confess to Elijah. "I can do this," he muttered to himself, "all I have to do is tell him." Braden let out the breath he was holding and looked at himself in the mirror. It didn't really matter what he looked like, really, but that didn't stop him from making an attempt. Braden went downstairs, wishing Denis was there to support him. Before he walked out the door, Braden looked back upon the house once more. Braden smiled softly as his thoughts went to Elijah. He could do this. Braden spun around, and strolled out of the house.
(This came out earlier than I intended, but that's probably because I'm making this chapter so short. Sorry! Happy Birthday, Denis!)
