The first week back had finally finished. It is Friday evening and my friends are coming over to my house to stay the night. The first person to arrive was Gab. We were organising snacks and films when the doorbell rang. Nette and Lily arrived then 5 minuets later Emma and Lydia. These girls were my best friends and we spent every day together. We ate pizza and were sat on the sofas eating the snacks. Lily sat on the sofa next to me and kept looking at me "why you looking at me" I threw a crisp at her, "you and Mikey seem to be getting closer" I don't know why she's so obsessed with him but I guess she see's something I don't. "I only sit next to him in English and that's an hour a day" I laughed. "Yeah but that's 5 hours a week and you always talk in the hall" Emma added on. For the rest of the night we watched films and laughed at each other messing around. We finally fell asleep at about 3am.
I woke up and looked around the room. It was 8:30am and all the other girls were asleep. I took my phone off charge and sat on the sofa. I noticed someone had followed me on Instagram, I opened the app and saw it was Mikey. I smiled at my phone and followed him back. "What you smiling at" Nette asked me from across the room. "Nothing" I said back "just something funny on instagram" I locked my phone as some of the others also started to wake up.
It was a nice day so we decided to go to the park. We sunbathed and talked and then headed up towards the shop. Because it was so hot we bought ice cream. Lydia turned round and tried to wipe it on my face so I started to run away but because I'm a clumsy person I ran into someone. "I, I'm so sorry" I said and looked up to see a familiar face. "Hey it's fine" of corse Mikey was stood there smiling at me. As I was about to speak the door opened and two other boys I had seen around school walked in. Mikey turned around so I walked off back to the girls. "Oh my god he's so fit" Emma stared at the one with slightly browner hair then Mikey. "I'm in love" Gab was looking at the dirty blonde one.
"Hey Jess wanna hang out with me, Rye and Brook?" Mikey said as he walked back over to me. "Yes, yes we would" Lily stated from behind me. I gave Lily a weird look as we followed the boys out of the shop and back into the park. We hung out for a bit as a group but slowly everyone left. It was now 5pm and Nette was the last one to leave "see you on Monday Jess" she smiled "yeah bye" I smiled back and watched her walk away. Now it was just me and Mikey, "do you want to go sit on the swings?" He asked me "yeah sure, what time do you have to leave?" I asked back "I don't know whenever a guess" we walked up to the swings. We sat for about an hour just talking about life and watching people come and go with kids and dogs. My phone pinged from my pocket
Mum: hey Jess, dinners ready time to come home xxx
Jess: okay, will be there soon xx
"Erm I have to go home now, see you later?" I turned to Mikey "yeah today's been good... so can I have your number?" He asked with a cheeky smile on his face. I laughed a little and typed my number into his phone and saved my name as "Jess 💛". "Thanks so see you around" he said whilst putting his phone back in his pocket. "Yeah bye" I said and stated to walk back down the park towards my house.
