The only place he could go to now, was his dorm.
Jinhwan walked on the dark and lonely street. The lights from the moving cars and streetlights were the only things that kept everything ahead of him from being concealed into the darkness.
A short, brown haired boy, lost in the streets with his head down low, an arm carrying a dog, looking like the most hopeless, most helpless person in the whole world. That was him right now. Good thing he looked that way though, because much to his luck, a taxi driver must've felt bad after seeing him, so they drove by. Making the boy turn his head around and look at the man through the window that was being rolled down.
"Hey kid! Need a lift?"

"This way sir."
The car finally pulled up just outside the gates of the university. The sight of the tall and wide building along with the usual greenery and the people walking made Jinhwan feel uneasy. He definitely wasn't expecting to be here already, and he definitely wasn't prepared, the fact that he left his luggage back at Junhoe's house justified it.
Whatever. He needed a place to stay at for tonight. There weren't any other possible choices anyway. Plus he still had some clothes in the dorm that he didn't bring over to Junhoe's.
"Kid, whatever you're going through... I hope you go through it well."
Jinhwan looked at the man, all confused by the sudden but kind words. But he immediately smiled, even though a little sadness still showed.
"Thank you sir." The boy said as he handed over his payment and hopped out of the car.

Jinhwan's knuckles repeatedly striked the wooden door very gently, almost as if he was shy to show up in front of Hanbin. After all, he had been ignoring his texts. Well, it was more like he missed every opportunity to respond.
"Is Hanbin even home?" He thought as he took a pause from knocking. Jinhwan looked down on his arm to see Mandu, who was breathing almost heavily. Sitting on an arm for hours must've been uncomfortable for the dog.
Jinhwan took a step back as he heard the door in front of him make clicking sounds. He could've just used his own key instead of knocking so he wouldn't have to see Hanbin. But he left it in his carrier. Which was over at Junhoe's house.
He watched as the door swing open, making creaking sounds as it revealed his roommate, none other than Kim Hanbin himself. Who was surprised to see his friend out of nowhere, without context.
"Jinhwan hyung...."
The two have been staring each other down for the past fifteen seconds. Fortunately, Hanbin took the initiative and finally spoke up, breaking the silence that filled the space around them.
"W-Where have you been? No, I mean uh.... Come in!" He said as he opened the door even more, giving space for Jinhwan to come in.
The shorter boy slowly carried his feet inside the dorm. It was like he was home after a long vacation. The place felt nostalgic, but it also didn't.

Hanbin walked inside the bedroom with a cup of water, handing it over to Jinhwan, who sat down on his bed.
"Thanks."
Hanbin sat beside him, looking down on his feet, both in silence. While Mandu slept peacefully on the floor.
"Sorry for not texting you back. I just couldn't get the chance to."
"Oh, that's fine! It's okay."
Both of them obviously weren't liking the awkwardness arouund them. But Hanbin knew how to handle it.
"Anything wrong?"
Jinhwan looked at the latter, before he finally told him everything that happened. Just like last time. In this one, however, Jinhwan tried to hold back his tears. In which he miserably failed at. Bringing back the bad thoughts in his mind.
"I don't know anymore Hanbin. I just don't know anymore." Jinhwan said while he threw himself on the latter, wrapping his arms around him, in need of someone's warmth. The fact that he wanted Junhoe's arms wrapped around him instead of Hanbin's crossed his mind, which made him feel horrible. But it was true. Something about Junhoe made him feel more safe than the way Hanbin did. But they were two completely different people, so it made sense. Hanbin was his friend, but Junhoe was something else, which is why he trusted him more.
Why was he even thinkimg about this, when the reason that he came here was because of the fact that Junhoe's father's mistress is his step mom? It didn't even make sense that he had to leave because of that. Junhoe didn't do anything wrong, but Jinhwan didn't see that yet because his emotions overwhelmed him. All he knew was he wanted to be in his own space to think by himself for just a little.
"Shhh. It's okay." Hanbin cooed the older in his arms while Jinhwan sobbed silently.
"I'm sorry. We haven't seen each other for days and this is what I greet you with. I'm a mess." Jinhwan said as he slowly pulled himself away from Hanbin to wipe the tears that had rolled down his face.
Hanbin held out his hand and put it on Jinhwan's back. "It's fine hyung. You don't have to say sorry."
"I'll make you some food, come to the kitchen with me."
With that, Jinhwan followed Hanbin to the kitchen. Where Hanbin cooked up a quick little dinner for the older, who waited on the kitchen counter while they talked.

Jinhwan opened his closet and put on an oversized shirt along with a pair of shorts from the remaining handful of clothing he still had.
"Until you get a chance to go back to Junhoe's house, you can use some of my clothes." Hanbin offered. Earning a nod from Jinhwan, along with a 'thank you'. Which he surprisingly managed to say in a less awkward manner.
After changing his clothes and freshening up, Jinhwan got ready for bed early. Today was pretty tiring. Lots of events of different sorts have happened. He very much knew he deserved a long rest.
Staring up at the ceiling, the boy wondered what Junhoe could be doing right now.
Jinhwan was still confused and overwhelmed by all this. He still can't process his facts and cannot take them all in.
Sure, he missed Junhoe, and Junhoe probably missed him too. But he needed time for himself. He wanted to think things through.
