A Few Weeks Later
"Hey Cameron!" I said happily, it has been a few weeks since the awakening of all the SSO players. Afterwards, they set up a school for the kids who missed out on four years of schooling and will also get multiple college scholarships to assist us in the future.
"Hey Clair! So, you up for more physical therapy this afternoon? I heard that it is a really romantic date spot for people nowadays!" He replied sarcastically.
"Oh, totally, but I am busy with physical therapy tonight so I'm not sure... Let me check... Oh, I guess I could go to physical therapy with you Cameron." I retorted
"Clair, do you know what happened to the commander after I defeated him at his own game?" He asked randomly
"From what I've heard, he trapped himself inside the game as well, and so he died just as the 5,000 other players did. A just way of doing things of you think about it, but it still is not fair..." I sighed, nobody knows exactly why Yuko went to all the trouble of doing this... Many think he was a terrorist, or maybe was crazy in the head...
"Spacey Clair? You copy?" Cam said jokingly, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Also, the company that developed SSO went bankrupt and closed down after you completed it, and the server deleted itself too... So we will never see the giant floating castle that is Martinest ever again, or the golden city of Messatorado..." I said in a depressed tone.
"Of all the memories I will miss most, it would probably be the times that we spent on the 100th floor. Those were like a dream come true." Cam remarked
"Yeah, I agree." I said, taking his hand in mine as we walked to school. There were some things I will never forget, like Amanda, whose funeral was back when she died, but I still visit her grave to tell her what hapened... On a lighter note, Cam and I are on the fast track to university level and then we will start our lives together in the real world. Some days I see something moving and my hand immediately goes to my left side for my old rapier... Sigh... It just os not the same sometimes without a sword...
As we walk into the distance, all I have to say to Cam is one thing.
"Cam, I love you, stay by my side forever, ok?" I said
"Alright, as long as you do the same." He said grinning
