Chapter 10

When the battle started, I think that I held my breath the whole time... It started like this:

"Welcome Cam, I am pleased that you showed up to fight." Ky said

"Why wouldn't I Kayaba Yuko? It is the only way to end this world, so I decided to go for it." Cam replied

"Clever, I thought that you of all people would figure me out at this stage. Alas, the time for small talk is over, and since people are probably in shock... Why don't we get started? I'll explain the rules... The only way to beat this game is to completely kill me with your duel blades. After that, all of the surviving players will instantaneously be logged out after. To lose you have to be on the brink of dying, barely alive. That is the reward fir figuring out my true identity. Do you agree to the rules?" He explained

"Yeah, I agree." Cam replied confidently.

A message appeared overhead that said,"Invincibility deactivated, duel starting in 3... 2... 1... Begin!". As Cam charged, slashed and parried, the duel was actually evenly matched. The duel probably lasted for five minutes like that, the suddenly...

"YAAHH!!" Cam screamed while going for the final blow, and it will be a moment I will cherish forever. The next instant Cam's swords plunged into the commanders, no Yuko's body, and rendering it into a million polygon fragments. From all around you could hear the jubilation in the plaza, and the intercom above stating that the game has been cleared and all of the remaining players would be logged out in 20 minutes. I raced over to Cam, and then I asked,"Cam, you have never told me how to contact you in real life, or your real name... What are they?"

"Oh, my name is Cameron Sutherland, and I live in Holliston, Massachusetts..." He replied,"And recently I turned 19."

"Oh, wow, I guess the world really is small... Funny story, my real name is Clair Smitt, and I, too, live in Holliston, Mass. I also have turned 19 recently."

Then the same, tolling bell rang once more as it did on that same fateful day, when this all began.
