Summer's POV

"You're boyfriend really misses you, huh?" He asks.

"ZYLER!" I yell. Zyler appears in the doorway.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"Get this sorry excuse for a man out of here." My jaw is clenched as I look up at my father.

"Summer, That's no way to treat your father," Zyler huffs.

"My father? My father? You mean the man who put me into foster care because he would rather party than face responsibilities? You mean the man who took me out of a caring home for no other reason but to make me miserable? I was happy where I was. He ruined everything." The anger only raises from there. "Get out."

"Do I have to move you to another foster home?" He threatens.

"You know what? Go ahead. Just steal every bit of happiness I had left. I mean that's what you did with mom," I spit. Tears beg to fall from my eyes.

"You can't blame me for what happened to your mother!" He yells.

"You should have been the one to die in that car accident! You were the drunk one! She was just trying to get home!" I yell. I let the tears fall. I had nothing left of her. Nothing. He took everything.

His eyes burn through me. There was only hate, no love. He hated me.

"You did it on purpose..." I say looking him up and down. "I was the one thing she loved more than you. You were jealous. You killed her!" I yell looking at him.

"You're insane," He laughs.

"I didn't kill my mother!" I yell. Zyler disappears into the kitchen for a while as I continue my war with my father.

"You should be slapped for the way you talk to me." He growls before swinging and slapping my cheek, hard. I hold my cheek in pain as I look up at him.

"You are a sorry excuse for a father. You killed your own wife out of jealousy for the baby you were supposed to love. You stole everything from me. Everyone ounce of happiness I've ever felt you've taken away. I will not let you rule me anymore. My happiness is for me to control." I growl, my eyes shining.

"I will always have power over you. I am your father. As far as the authorities know, your poor mother died in a car accident." He laughs. "She was so naive. She just got in the car. She was so happy to go home to you. I knew pulling out into that intersection would be enough to off her. It was the perfect plan," He laughs.

"Is that so?" A man asks as he appears in the doorway. I look up to see an officer. My heart races as a smile crosses my face.

The officer starts to read him his rights as he handcuffs him.

"I understand you are her foster parent?" A different officer asks as he looks at Zyler. He nods. "It is up to you on what happens to her," He tells her. Zyler looks at me with a small smile plastered on his face.

"Summer should go back with her old foster parents. That's her real home," He smiles. I look at him with wide eyes and pull him into a hug.

"Thank you Zyler. Thank you so much," I mumble as a tear slides down my face.

"Anything for you kiddo," He smiles. "Pack your bags. I'll buy the plane ticket tonight and call Quinn, you'll be back home by tomorrow afternoon," He smiles. I thank him again before running off to my room and starting to pack.
