A S T R I D

That night I couldn't sleep for some weird reason. I kept twisting and turning. I looked at the others who were asleep with their dragons. I sighed and got up.

I decided to hang out in the forests, just sit on a tree and stare at the moon. Yeah, that would be nice.

I walked out the cave quietly and into the green trees. I tried to find a tall tree to sit on.

I was looking for trees when I saw a note on one of them. I went closer for further investigation.

'Hey Ariel Hoffscotch,

Meet up here? Same time in the afternoon? And this time, don't bring your axe

-Hiccup :)'

Why would he want to meet up with me? I wondered.

But at the same time, I also kinda got a bit excited. What made him want to meet up again?

Guess this wasn't gonna be so hard after all.

"Astrid where are you going?" Tuff asks me. We were at the square watching two people wrestle for this girl's hand.

"Somewhere" I reply before leaving the others.

I walked to the forest and stayed on the tree Hiccup placed his note on. I leaned on it. I wonder how I look like with my hair tied up. I've never seen myself on a mirror ever since I changed into this Scottish outfit. My bangs were away from my face, and the rest of my hair was in a bun, braids surrounding it. I might not look like Astrid Hofferson anymore.

...

It's been 30 minutes. Well, this situation kinda reminds you of something? Yup, the date where he forgot to attend since he was busy with Heather.

Yep, that one.

I heard heavy breathing and some rustling behind me. I turned around to see Hiccup basically running towards me.

"Hey there prince charming" I said crossing my arms.

"Oh my I'm sorry Ariel, fiancè duties" He says.

Gosh don't say that word unless your my fiancè.

"Really? Like what?" I asked.

"Making sure my tux matched her dress"

Gosh. They're REALLY getting married? It's hard to believe that the person you want to marry is marrying someone who isn't you. I have to do something soon.

"Wow, she's dressing you up like a doll" I smirked.

"Exactly true, can't deny" He says still catching his breath.

"What'd you call for anyway?" I ask showing him the note on the tree.

"Oh, nothing. You're just a great person to hang out with. When I'm hanging with you, it's like there's no pressure, not anything to worry about. Unlike when I'm in the castle with Merida, it's so frustrating how she only talks about the marriage. Why can't we enjoy the time now while we aren't married yet?" He asks sitting down.

"So you don't wanna get married?" I ask sitting across him.

"Not yet. I feel like, when you get married, you have to be serious and stuff. And I'm still young, you know? I want to enjoy more stuff to do" He shrugs.

"Mhm" I nodded.

There was a moment of silence where we just admired the cool atmosphere of the forest this moment.
