Xara Ellis - A thirty-one-year-old genius living in 31st century America. With lengthy, jet-black hair and of a particularly unusual appearance, she draws attention from people without them knowing, even if they are not aware of her presence.
She is one of the only four people in existence to harbour the 10th intelligence, as of yet a mystery to most. Sarcastic, witty and generous, she ends up in a mental ward after she begins losing her genius for unknown reasons. Her mind is the title's reference to Jack and Adrian's journey.

Adrian Catena - Young, handsome and very naïve for his age (21), he plays a key role in searching for the cause of the mental deprivation belonging to Xara. He is a deep thinker and asks many questions, to the point of infuriating a jealous and cruel Jack Aomori, his science partner. He, along with Jack, is Xara's final hope to restore both herself as well as her genius.

Jack Aomori - The second protagonist to journey Xara's 'mental labyrinth', he displays an envious and angry part of him compared to his originally innocent and kind features. He has origins in Japan and his age is unknown so far, however he is presumed to be in his mid-thirties. Once arrogance and fearfulness get the better of him, Jack quickly transforms into a confused and lost soul still travelling Xara's mind. Can Adrian help him?
