Ethan's POV

"fuck, Grayson. I can't fall asleep." I confessed as I walked into his room.

"And that's my problem because?" he asked, laughing as he rolled his eyes.

"I can't stop thinking about her. About what she said." I said. I looked down and shook my head, I was unable to believe it.

"Dude, it was inevitable. She fell in love with you once, doing it twice isn't hard." he replied. I could hear a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Gray.." I spoke, but he cut me off.

"It's fine Ethan. She fell in love with you, not me. You guys deserve each other." he said.

"Thanks bro." I replied thankfully as I pulled him into a hug. "Goodnight." I said quickly before walking back into my room.

Madison's POV

The music from headphones filled my ears and captivated my mind.

I was beginning to remember new things everyday, and even memories of Ethan.

I didn't tell Ethan that, though.

I had to go back to school after being released tomorrow, and I was not excited. I also heard that many people had already been asked to prom.

That also means that many people will be bragging about having prom dates.

I didn't mind not having a date. I usually didn't even go at all. People never paid attention to me, and if they did, it was to hurt me. So I didn't really care.

My music was interrupted when I had an incoming call. It was 12:30 in the morning, so my mind raced on who it could be.

I hit the answer button and a deep voice filled my ears.

"Hey, Madi. What's up?" Ethan asked.

"Nothing. I'm surprised you're awake, what's got you up?" I asked.

"Just thinking. Since we're both up, do you want to come over?" he said hopefully.

"Yeah, sure. Give me a few minutes to get my stuff together." I said before ending the call.

I slipped on a yellow sweatshirt and flip flops. I grabbed my charger and phone and quietly went out the door.

Ethan's POV

"Hey Madison!" I said a little too loud as I opened the door. I covered my mouth and she giggled.

"Hey Ethan. You seem excited." she laughed a bit.

"Who wouldn't be? I get to see my favorite girl." I said, making her blush. I led her into the kitchen.

"You do realize it's one in the morning, Ethan. Why are you getting that out?" she asked as I took out a box of cake. (a/n that pre made shit that comes in a box you know what i'm talking about)

"I wanna make a cake. You got a problem with that?" I teased.

"Not at all. Let's get to it." she said as she hopped off the counter and rolled up her sleeves.
