(If not obvious photo is Eric)
Variel POV
Eric and I continued walking through the woods for a couple hours. I had shifted back, which had been pretty much as painful as my first shift. Eric had waited for me a couple meters away, facing the hills up ahead, glancing at me when I was finished as he too had shifted.
His silhouette was tall and against the night sky and moon, rather intimidating.
"We...We aren't going to Blood Moon Pack are we?" I questioned wearily, dreading the answer. Eric's voice was rough and low when he answered.
"Who told you about them?" He said turning to face me, his expression hard to read in the dim light..
"Umm just Darius my brother...." I then realized that I had just told him another peace of important information. I with hold from slapping myself.
"Ah. So it is true then? You are the Alpha's daughter?" He says, and I can literally hear the smirk in his voice.
"W-well I wouldn't say that, more like.....more like friends?" I try to cover up the lie very miserably and it was obvious.
Eric's eyes reflect the moon showing amusement.
We walk a little longer over some logs, which I tried very hard not to trip over. In the slight moonlight I can see a large clearing with long lush grass. Its not long after we started to make our way through them that I shatter the silence.
"So, you keep avoiding my question that I really want to know the answer too. Where are we going exactly?"
"Well, exactly we are going 45 North and 73 South with a slight turn off at a slight 90° angle-"
"--Fine fine! You win!" I huff in annoyance. He lets out a low chuckle. It seems I will never get an answer out of him. Wait hold on, an answer.
"You never answered my question on whether you are taking me to Blood Moon Pack." I comment nervously.
Eric swivels around so fast that I stumble backwards, almost falling over. He looks angry, at least from what I can see.
"Maybe for good reason, now keep your mouth shut dog." He growls. I'll admit, that hurt just a little, I though we were getting along just fine. Ugh why can't people be nice or at least decent? Oh. Haha me, probably because he isn't a person. He is a flippin werewolf.
I don't say anything to that even though I'm tempted to. We walk some more, the silence crushing me. It seemed to be another hour before Eric finally stopped, causing me to bump into him. I'm pretty sure he glares over his shoulder but he says nothing.
"Are we there yet?" I croak. I realize that I had not had any water since before school and my throat had just decided to catch up with me. Figures.
"No. But we will rest here, I would go further but it seems you cannot. There is a clean stream up ahead that is safe to drink from if you must. You have 5 hours to rest, then we will continue to our destination." He replies.
"Why you in such a hurry hmm? Oh wait that information is apparently classified." I mutter, only meaning it for me but it seems Eric has sharp ears, just my luck. He slowly turns to face me, his eyes going dark as he hisses through his teeth.
"4 hours. Go."
I go to complain but he had already walked off, leaving me in the dark, great just awesome.
Honestly, what is up with this guy.

Darius POV
Vince, Miley and I had returned to the others after another couple hours of desperately trying to follow the trails left behind. Nothing.
My mood had gone from bad to worse and when we got back to the others they shied away, feeling the anger rippling off me in waves. There was really only one thing to do that would make me feel a bit better. Having a very respectful and civilized conversation with our prisoners.
Jokes aside, if they don't have any useful information lets just say that they won't be seeing another sunrise.
With my thoughts mainly rotating around Variel I don't notice Miley who is the only one who is still willing to talk to me walking towards me, seeing as all of us had shifted back except for Brad and Vince. Since Noah died I had also kept in mind that I would need a beta. There hadn't been much option. It was out of Vince and Miley. It was a bummer with Vince but my beta had to be able to talk to me no matter the situation.
Before Miley could tell me whatever it was she had to say I quickly just get it over with.
"Miley would you be my beta?" I say a little quickly. I felt guilt in replacing Noah so soon but it had to be done.
Her eyes widen and her mouth gapes a bit before she quickly nods. I nod back.
"Now what is it you were going to say?"
"Umm... Well you see Alpha.."
"Darius." I corrected.
"You see Darius," She continued. "Vince found signs of Variel. It was was a strong scent of her and that wolf in a cave.... Along with blood..."
I was off before she could stop me. Quickly shifting mid sprint I stuff down the slight pain that I still get when I change. I bound over to Vince who had hurried back to where we were momentarily staying.
We speak no words as he already knows I know. We bound forward together and he guides me through the forest. We come across a path I didn't notice before that was covered by brambles. Whoever this wolf was, he was above you average. Although I do wonder how he could have done all this in time seeing as we got there a few minutes after they left.
The path winds through the dense undergrowth before opening up to the edge of the forest.
I see the cave and I speed up wanting to find a trail, a tuft of fur, anything that could help me track Variel.
I enter slowly. I am greeted by the metallic smell of dried blood up on a ledge. After studying I recognize it as Variel's. This worries me.
As I study more I pick up the scent of the other mystery wolf that Vince fought. It smells familiar somehow, but I can't seem to pinpoint where from.
"Alpha." Vince calls out to me. I reluctantly leave the cave to stand beside the red wolf. I notice the fur that is snagged on a bush. It is a dark grey. Most likely the wolf's. I inhale its scent and my eyes widen, as does Vince's as he hears what I'm thinking.
"That is not possible..." Vince says speechless. "How could I have not noticed when we fought?"
I shake my head.
"I have no idea Vince. But there is one thing for sure. Variel has been taken by one of my most dangerous enemy's. An enemy that is dead. Should be dead. I saw it myself."
It looks like Eric Lockwood heir of Blood Moon Pack is back, and his first deal of business, making my life miserable.
