Clem's POV:
I still couldn't process what just happened. I'm mean our home is burnt to shit and gone and worst of all Ten is fucking dead. Those fucking bastards led to the death of a child. I felt so bad for Violet. She's known 10 longer than any of us. It was basically like a little brother and now her little brother is dead and she had to put him down. I couldn't imagine what she's going through. This would be like me losing AJ if that happened, I could never live with myself. "Those fuckers are going to pay what if done. Believe me I soon as I find the fucker who ordered them here I'm gonna chop them up so bad and I can make them into fucking sushi." Violet said as she was still crying over Ten's corpse.
Everyone then looked at me as if they were asking for leadership. "So Clem, what do we do now?" Marlon asked as I had a blank expression on my face. At this point, I had no idea what to do. I didn't know if we should just keep on running or if we should take action. I suddenly had a feeling I haven't felt in years. I feel completely powerless. Like I was too weak to do anything warm to make any decisions. I felt so alone. "Well... We should... We...." I stuttered as I didn't know what to tell them. "Well Clem, we're waiting." Marland said with attitude.
Must've noticed that I was clueless at the moment because he stepped in for me. God he's the fucking best. "Tell you what we're gonna do." He says with confidence in his voice. "Oh yeah? And what is that dip shit?!" Marlon said with even more attitude and his voice. "We're going to bring the fight to them." Gabe proclaimed as everyone was shocked by his decision. "They want to fuck with us. Will guess what, we're gonna fuck with them back. We're going to find out where their bases, get some weapons together, and we're going to make them pay for what they did. They took our home. They killed Ten. We can't just let them go for that. If we do it they're just going to find us again and they're going to take another one of us and burn another home. We have to stand for ourselves we half to make a stand. We will get vengeance for 10 and we will show them that we are a force to be messed with! Now who's with me!!!" Gabe yelled as everyone else in the group yelled, "YEAH!!!" in support of his plan.
While Gabe was giving his motivational speech, I checked out the armor on one of the soldiers that was killed. I took a good look at his sleeve and recognized a symbol. It was the saviors! It was Negan! I knew right then I couldn't bring the rest of them into this. Negan is my flight and my fight alone. I know what he's capable of and if he got his hands on anyone else, he would kill them. No question. I walked back over to the group to tell them when I discovered.
"Listen guys, these men who attacked us... They were the saviors!" I told them as all of them mouths dropped open, especially AJs. "All right so let's go get that fucker!" Gabe said with that fiery passion still inside him. I placed his hand in mine as we intertwined our fingers together. "Gabe, baby. I'm sorry but... This is my fight. I can't bring you all into this. So that's why... I'm going alone" I told them as they all looked shocked and horrified. "Clem, you can't do that. You cannot take out an entire community of soldiers by yourself. You'll die!" He said as cheer started to form in his eyes. "Gabe, if I don't make it back if I do die, please promise me you'll take care of AJ." Told him as his tears were flowing at a rapid rate. "Clementine please don't do this!" Gabe and AJ begged at the same time. "Please promise me!!" I asked him again in desperation. "OK... I promise!" Gabe finally said as I smiled.
"There's a camp not too far from here. About 3 miles in that direction. Do I need to go there. And if I don't make it back then stay there and don't wait for me." I ordered them as they nodded. "Come here." I told Gabe and AJ as they walked over to me and we had a big family hug. Probably our last. "I love you guys so much." I said is I started to cry as well "We... We love you too." They said at the same time as I kissed AJ on the forehead and Gabe on the lips. I then took a small bag of supplies and I start to head out to find Negan's base where I intend to end that fucker once and for all.
