The Nice Girl (Part 2)

Jens pov

I'm sitting in a meeting with a few coworkers including Leah and my sister. Leah is sitting next to me and my sister is sitting across the table from me. We were just talking about the upcoming plans for the next few months because of this project my sister is working on for the business. I hate meetings though but it's not that bad when you get to have your wife join along. She's so attractive when she's in her serious work mode. I try to be fun since we work together but she's so serious about work. Just like Lynda.

I turn to my right which was where Leah was and I look at what she was writing down. I rest my elbow onto the arm rest on my chair and had my chin on the palm of my hand.

"Yeees?" She asks me. "Keep writing" I tell her and watch.

"So I've decided whose going on the business trip. Judging on the work, Leah will be going with me to New York-"

"What??" I interrupt Lynda. "Jennifer don't just interrupt like that" Lynda says. I was so confused. I didn't expect at all for my sister to choose my wife to go with her to New York for this business trip when Lynda knows I won't be able to come with.

"When are we leaving?" Leah asks and I give her this confused look. "Next week Monday morning till Friday night" Lynda says and my jaw drops. "What?! Five days?!" "Jennifer.." Lynda says and I shut up. It's unacceptable at this point that I keep interrupting like that but.. I can't have my wife leave me for five days.

After the meeting I went straight to Lynda and talked to her.

"Lynda why would you pick Leah?"

"Because she deserves it and I didn't pick you because you've went to all the business trips with me so I decided to give someone else a turn."

"So you pick my wife?"

"Yeah"

"I can't deal with not having her with me for five days!"

"Yes you could" She giggles. "No I cant" I pout. "You'll be fine! It'll go by fast." "But you two will be super busy and will barely have time to FaceTime me!" "Jennifer you'll be fine. Besides..she deserves this! She's been working so hard and has proved to me that she's really dedicated to her job" "why couldn't you have picked someone else?!" "I just told you why!" She says. I shake my head and just leave and went straight to Leahs office, locked the door behind me and started talking.

"You better tell Lynda you can't go" I said. "What? Why should I?" "Because you're gonna be gone for five days!" "Okay? This is a business trip. I cant just cancel because my wife can't be without me for five days." She says and leans back in her chair looking up at me while I was standing.

"Babe I don't want you to go" I pout. "I'm sorry but I have to! You think I could last five days without you and the girls? No. But this isn't some game..I have to go" She says. I look away and kind of stomp my foot acting like a little brat not getting what she wants. Leah giggled and stood up then held both my hands.

"I'm sure you'll be fine. We could FaceTime"

"The whole trip has you busy most of the time. That's how it was with me when I went" I complain. "Okay but I'll try as much as I can to talk to you. You have me everyday of your life. Five days will go by fast..watch" she says. I roll my eyes and put my head back, facing up while whining even more but my eyes were still at her.

"I promise when I get back I'll make up for those five nights I couldn't be there with you" She says and drags her fingers along my chest. "Ugh" "and I'll bring you souvenirs from New York!" She tells me. "I don't care what the fuck you bring me i just want you. My sisters a bitch for all this" "Hey don't say that! She gave me this job and I'm so thankful for it all. Don't talk shit like that"
