"Mama isn't here" Emilia says. The girls are at school and I'm still off. Tomorrow is my last day off so I basically have three days of work without Leah.
"Nope. She's in New York. She'll call in a few hours." I said to her while dressing her up to go to Disneyland like I promised Leah I'd do. "How come she's away from us?" "Because Emilia.. it's for work." "So?" "For work. As in adults." "But you're a mommy!" "I know that but I- Emilia... It's just for Leah and auntie Lynda alright?" I said and sighed. Still stressed.
"Tell her to call us now" she demands.
"I can't! She's busy!" I snapped. She closes her mouth and stays quiet and lets me finish getting her ready.
"Alright go play on the iPad on my bed while I get ready." I tell her and she listens.
I only put on mascara and put my hair up into a high ponytail. Wore hoop earrings and lipgloss as well. My outfit was just ripped boyfriend jeans and a white loose shirt that actually belongs to Leah. I tied it in front making it show a bit of my stomach. Then I just wore vans slip ons.
We left afterwards and went straight to Disneyland. I wasn't even in the mood for Disney but Emilia is getting excited. But it's fine since we're leaving earlier than we usually do so I could pick up the girls from school. It's literally 9 am so we have a good amount of hours to spend here.
I've noticed whenever I'm alone with just one of my girls, more guys check me out. But they don't approach me because I have a daughter. When Leahs with me I don't notice because I look out at the guys who check her out.
Right now we're in line for a ride and this one guy can't stop looking at me. Or maybe he thinks my baby is cute. I don't know but it's really obvious that he's looking.
"Emilia can you not touch that please." I tell her as she was reaching for these plants in line. "It's pretty mommy" "I don't care don't touch it" I said to her and she pouts and walks over to me and hugs my leg.
Suddenly I make eye contact with him right after snapping at Emilia again. It lasted five seconds then I looked away back down at my phone. Perfect timing because Leah started calling.
"Mama!!" Emilia screams and starts reaching up. I carry her and answer the phone.
"Hiiii" Leah says. I smile and Emilia responds "hi mama! Where are you?" "I'm in New York!" "Come home!!" "I will soon okay?" "Okaaay" She says happily. "You're being good to mommy?" "Mhm" She says and nods her head. "don't give her a hard time or else mama won't be happy." Leah says. "Okay I'm being nice!" Emilia says. I raise my brow and shake my head. Then I leaned my head against Emilia's head softly and smile to the phone. "Miss youuu" i said. "I miss you too. Are you doing okay?" "Yeah" "Okay good. I only have five minutes to talk but let me know how your day went tonight okay?" "Mhm" I smile softly. "You look so pretty I wish I were there to see all that in person" she tells me. "Aww." I said. "Mama, Mommy always looks pretty" Emilia says. "Awww baby" I said and kissed her cheek. "She learned that from me" Leah says. "Ugh. I love you both" "love you too" Leah says.
The line moves more and more closer to the front. Me and Leah barely talked on FaceTime. Now she's saying bye to Emilia and I. I put my lips out like I was sending her kisses. She did the same back and winked to me.
"I'll call you guys tonight."
"Okay. We'll be waiting"
After saying bye, I put my phone away and kept carrying Emilia in my arms til we got to the front of the line.
She's the one who had the most fun. Smiling, cheering, laughing throughout the whole ride. She's adorable. She catches people's attention too and all I do is smile back at them unless they ask me about her. It's all about Emilia. Popular baby I have.
Later we went in line again for another ride. I had my eye on Emilia but I was also on my phone a lot texting Leah. At least we could still text sometimes. She's sneaking her phone in between times but she can't call me during the day. I know that for sure.
"Mommy" I hear Emilia call but I don't answer, so she repeats herself. "Mommyyyy" "hmm?" "Mommy. Mommy! Mommy!" She repeats herself again and I look down at her. "What Emilia?" "Mommy" she pouts. "Whaaat??" "I want-" she pauses and looks around and pouts more. "Babe. What?" I asked with annoyance. She sits on the ground and I sigh. She looks up at me and starts making that face that I know she's about to cry.
"Emilia tell me what your problem is!"
"I want that!" She said. "That what? My phone?" "No!" "My purse?" She nods her head and I open it. "What do you want from here?" "Thaaaat" she just continues to talk with her little baby voice. "Emilia." "Mommy the purse!" "I'm not giving you my whole purse." She crosses her arms and turns the other way.
"Come on the lines moving."
"No" she pouts.
"Okay then I'm gonna leave you here"
"Nooo!" She yells and follows me. Everyone looks and I just shake my head.
Turns out she wanted her play doh that was in my purse but she doesn't exactly know what it's called. But I gave it to her and now she's happy again. But me? I'm tired. I just wanna go home and be lazy but it's tough doing that when you're a mom of three..when your partner isn't home for the whole week to help out. Now that I have Leah, I can't believe I took care of Emme all by myself. That took a lot and now it's harder for me to take care of the three girls even when I have Leah helping. Maybe because it's just a lot more than what I had before. But I still love my life now, way better than back then. Everyone's happy. Especially Emme whose been there since the beginning since she's my first child.
"Mac and cheese or clam chowder?" I ask her. "Chow chow!" She says. "Really? Your sister would've said Mac and cheese haha" "I don't want cheese" she said. "Okay" "Yay! Carry me" "wha- no you know how to walk" I said as we walked and she pulls her hand away from mine and stops walking.
"Babe" I giggled. "Carryyyy!" "I cant carry you all my life" "you can now" she says with her baby voice and I raise my brows. I know she didn't learn that sass from me. She giggles and runs up to me and holds my hand again.
As we walk I went on my phone again since me and Leah are still texting. I'm just talking to her about what they're doing for work and she sounds stressed. My poor baby. I knew she'd get stressed from what they'd do at the trip but I believe she can do it. It's not hard it's just a lot. Today her and Lynda have three meetings with this company whose teaming up with us to continue the project they're working on. Three meetings in one day..they can't even move some meetings to a different day of the week because they're busy the whole week. I like the business trips though. It keeps me working a lot and I'm kind of used to the routine but the first time it was pretty hard so hopefully Leah gets through it well.
Now she just sent me a mirror selfie from one of the office bathrooms because I wanted to see how she looked today. But maybe I shouldnt have asked because now I want her even more. I don't know how people do long distant relationships. I cant even last a week without her.
