Epilogue

Winnie’s answer was yes. Edward and Winnie planned their wedding a month later, to be held at the castle.

Now, it was the day of the wedding and Liz and Mary were adding the final touches to Winnie’s dress. It was all white, with a veil over the eyes, a corset with hints of gold. The bottom part was frilly, poofing out a little but not too much. She had a red rose pinned in her hair. Her hair fell down to her shoulders, wavy and perfect. Her slippers were snow white and the whole outfit just made Winnie’s blue eyes pop.

“You look so gorgeous!” Liz exclaimed, fixing up any little imperfection.

“I knew that he would marry you. Trevor told me he would, but I wasn’t sure if I believed him and now look at you, getting married today!” Mary gushed.

Winnie laughed quietly, but deep down inside she was absolutely petrified. All her home town and Freeton were going to be there. What if she tripped? So many people were going to be watching her.

“Are you ready?” Liz asked. Winnie nodded her head, and Liz allowed her to carefully look at herself in the mirror. She looked gorgeous.

“Not to ruin your moment or anything, but you have a wedding to attend.” Mary said.

Liz and Mary grabbed each of Winnie’s hands, leading her down to the church in the castle. Winnie hadn’t even known that there was one, and she had stayed for a year.

“Alright, just walk in. You will see Edward. You know what to do.” Mary said. They stopped in front of a tall, brown wooden door. This was the door that Winnie had to go through to get to her wedding. This was the only thing keeping her from it.

“You’re ready,” Liz said, and they opened the doors.

Winnie smiled instantly, seeing Edward standing up with the priest, waiting for her. There was a white rug on the floor from the door Winnie just entered all the way to the alter. Flower petals of red roses were spread all over the room.

Walking forward slowly, Winnie got to see everyone who showed up. There were so many people. Liz wasn’t kidding when she said that she invited everyone. People that Winnie didn’t know where turned around smiling at her. Even Trevor was there, doing better than ever.

Winnie walked up to the alter, scared. Edward noticed this right away, and got her gaze to land on his eyes. This did comfort Winnie a lot. She focused only on his eyes until she had to say, “I do.”

Edward slipped a silver ring on her finger. It was the most beautiful thing that Winnie had ever seen. It had a single white stone right in the middle of it. There was a pattern on the side that looked like a bunch of x over lapped.

“You may kiss the bride,” the priest said. Edward smiled at Winnie and his gentle lips came close to hers, kissing her slowly, but the most passionately that he ever had.

Two years later…

A small cry echoed from the room over. Winnie laid on the couch, still in a little pain while Edward went and got the crying child that was no more than a few weeks old.

It was their daughter, Cosette. Edward handed her to Winnie, and the baby just smiled, immediately ceasing the cries. Edward kissed both of their foreheads and smiled contently.

Cosette had her mother’s crystal blue eyes and her father’s dirty blonde hair. She had rosy red cheeks and a cute button nose. She looked like an innocent child, but trouble always managed to find her.
