I pack everything up and make my way with a heavy heart. After so long I'm back on a dangerous mission, do I ever learn my lesson? These damn people, if I die I'm getting my revenge and killing them instead. I'M COMING FOR YOU FIRST, SEHUN. That bitch.
My legs hurt from soaking so much, and I've barely walked. I get tired from walking up stairs anymore. RELATABALE. Wait I'm talking to myself now, that's how I know I'm losing my mind. I don't have my beautiful Molly to talk to anymore.
I arrive at the entrance to the Dark Forest two hours later, only to be stopped by two strong ass guards. "Halt! State who you are, why you're here, and you can't turn back until you come out from the other side." You could wait to say the rest after answering.
"My name is Scarlett, my mom is the principal of Unfrogiven Blades Academy-" I burst out laughing suddenly. For some reason every time I hear the name of the school I laugh. It reminds me of something that would be in Naruto. It's like badass but cheesy and hilarious at the same time. "Sorry, I'm on a mission to retrieve something here." I forgot the name, it'll come to me soon. I just know it.
"Go on in, good luck, Miss Scarlett." I feel so royal to have been called miss, but I also feel old now. Dammit, I'm bipolar. That was a joke don't be triggered, I think at least, sometimes I feel like I do have it. One minute I'm hyper and sarcastic, another I'm sad and depressed. Like, what the fudge balls feelings?
I casually walk in with my guard up and immediately get attacked. "NOT EVEN A FRICKEN NICE WELCOME! I JUST WALKED IN, DAMMIT." I yell in frustration after killing the weird beast thing. Fudge my life, fudge this school, fudge Sehun, fudge this forest.
I continue walking, killing everything that tries to get me. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain on my left thigh and abdomen, and I look down to see two arrows and blood EVERYWHERE. And I don't mean form my period, ladies and gents.
I groan in pain, pulling out the arrows and applying some healer onto it. I bandage it up as I watch through every corner of my eye for enemies. Where did these even come from? This is too dangerous, to be wounded in a forest like this?
My breath becomes quick after a bit and I stop in my tracks. The arrows had a deadly poison. But the only poison I can think would be making my leg and abdomen numb is THAT one. The Night Breath flower, a really, really dangerous poison that will kill someone in twenty-four hours.
The only cure to it is to use poison against poison, and I'd half to take the Goddess's Light flower. The only problem with that, is that it's hard to find and I only half twenty-four hours to find it. I also have to fight back against these beasts and I don't have my contracted one.
I'm so screwed, I don't know how I'll even survive this. As if a lightbulb appeared on top of my head, I remember my teachers words. "If for some reason a contracted beast betrays it's master, the only other way is to sever your bond with your old one and use your blood to make a new one. However, remember that your second contracted beast will be a demon. If you aren't strong, they'll try and kill you because they think you aren't worthy of being their master. "
My bond with Sehun could be broken, but in this situation I really need one, demon or not. The only way to sever a bond is to cut your wrist where the mark is and say the chant for it.
So I do just that. Using my blade, I cut a long slit from my wrist to my arm, wincing slightly.
"Goddess to devil, fire to ashes, sever these burns so my love and purity returns from it's crashes. A loyal companion a true friend, someone who's power will help me transcend the heavens.
Thou sever my old bonds, for a demon to respond. Bring a contract on me, a pact to see. I call upon thee, sever my bonds and bring a new one to me!" I yell, slamming my arm down on the circle I made unconsciously.
As soon as the bond severed, I felt empty before feeling a warmth feeling. It kept getting hotter and hotter, almost felt like I was burning from the inside. Then, in front of me, I see two contracted beasts.
I see two people in front of me. One is a man, who had wolf-like features and a very strong body. The other is a young g- wait.. "Molly?" I was speechless, in front of me looked like Molly, she was her height, her looks, and everything.
"Hi, big sis!" She ran to me and hugged me. "H-how are you here?" I ask confused, hugging her tightly. "I was given a choice to become a spirited contract. They said I could choose to become one, but it wasn't 100% accurate if I became your contracted beast." She smiles widely, letting go of me before running to jump on the other man's back.
"The one condition was that I had to become contracted with another super strong spirit beast, so this is mine. He is really sweet and protective, we'll tell you who and what we are." I nodded, still shocked and confused. No monster had come near me, which confused me more.
"I'm Molly, obviously, and my spirit contract is a dark and light butterfly. This is Jin, he is a demon wolf. Together, we make a contracted duo, one of the strongest ones out there. Because I'm your little sister and Jun we'll act as your older brother, we won't betray you even while weak." Molly smiled widely, convincing Jin to straight up hug me with a big brother aura around him.
"It's nice to meet you, Molly told me about you before. Can we ask about your situation?" He asks, carrying Molly on his shoulders. "This is the Dark Forest, most dangerous forest in the world. I am tasked to find the Lava Vine, it's located east of this forest." I inform with as sigh, showing them a printed picture of the vine.
"Why couldn't you find it yourself, is it because of the blood on you?" Molly asks worriedly. "Right now the arrows I got poisoned with the Night Breath flower, and I only have twenty-four hours to live and find the cure." I tell them, trying to keep my breath steady.
"The cure is the Goddess's Light flower, right? You can only find that north of the forest, located in the youth fountain, but even that is a legend." Jin informs while rubbing his temples. "I got it! We have less time for the poison, so we'll tackle that first. Let's get going, fast and furious style!" Molly yells, jumping off Jin's shoulders and turning into her beast form midair.
I see the most beautiful beast I have ever seen. Her wings were black and white faded ombre, translucent on some areas. She had this battle outfit that was a black armor-like dress and long black leather boots.
Jin transformed into his beast form as well, a ripped furry wolf with giant black demon wings and horns coming out of his head. "You can transform into a wolf, but it's faster if we fly. What do you want to do?" Molly asks, sitting in the air like it was a normal daily routine.
"We're short of time and breath, so I'll fly. Who's carrying me though?" I ask curiously, if only I wasn't a wolf and instead something that can fly. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers. "I will, I'm bigger and older than Molly, so your weight won't do anything to me."
Jin crouches down and turns his back to me. I jump onto his shoulders, holding his shoulders tightly. He asks me if I'm ready to take off, all I could think about was a rocket ship. I swear I can't remain serious in any situation. I mean, of course I can... why would you think I can't? Pfffft.
He takes off when I nod subconsciously. I almost screamed in surprise, who in the universe of cheetahs decided to make this man a flying cheetah? What the sticky gel? My eyes were shut tight, and I probably had a double chin on.
I clearly can't remain graceful either, not that I ever was, but still. Let a girl dream, right? Wrong. Dreams are for people who want to do something, but don't feel like it. I'm obviously talking about myself here, what dreams? I got to many to count, man. I'm too reckless to dream.
This was going to be a long flight. That sounds like I was on a airplane, this is a human, Scarlet, not an airplane.
Ok, for real, my face is starting to hurt.
