Changes for the book and more about her background

Another update that's not a chapter! I'm killing you guys ever so slowly aren't I? Anyway, I changed Scarlet quite a bit, and the reason why was because of how she acts in the new school. Originally I planed for her to be pure and innocent, but her attitude ended up being sarcastic and proud.

And so, I decided that it would all be an act. So let's go ahead and learn memories from her past...

Ever since I first came into this harsh world, my life was covered in the darkness of being lonely. My mom was never home, my dad left us. No one knew this though, they assumed I lived a life of no worries. I put on a mask, a facade, so they wouldn't know about my true life.

They all assumed I was perfect, when in reality I'm just a bug who fights everyday. I'm insecure but don't act like it, I'm scared but honest, I'm broken, yet compete. Though many fight everyday to jut survive in a world of no mercy, one can't help but think they're alone.

My life never began, though it started, I felt as if I was running to the finish line before I crossed the starting line. In truth, I wanted friends. The mask I put up was just so people will like me. I can't change my past, but I sure as hell can change my future.

*flashback*

"I'm home again! This wretched place still is overly elegant for my taste." My 'mom' says sounding drunk. Surprise surprise! She came home drunk today, why was I not shocked? "Where are you, did you eat yet," She pauses. "-actually I don't really care if you did." She then finishes. My mom loved me, when she's not drunk that is. When she's drunk, my life turns into a living hell.

Sometimes when I text my friends and tell them it's my curfew, I'm in reality dealing with a drunk mom who brings guys home all the time. She brings them home, onto for them to leave the next morning.

*first flashback end*

I hope you don't mind the change, but I have a lot planned for Scarlet, so please understand!
