Sana's Pov
Breathe in, breathe out. If you really love Jihyo, tell her the truth about Amber and why you need to marry her.
"Jihyo, can we talk somewhere private?"
"Uhm yeah I'll just finish my juice."
"Sana, why do you need to talk to her? Is there a problem? You know you can always talk to me." Amber hugged me from the side
"It's too private, Amber." I said blankly
"So let's go?"
"Okay"
Before leaving I drank water first and looked at Jennie and Lisa. They gave me a nod and a smile. Wooh! You can do this. Jihyo and I went in the school garden where there are only few people.
"What do you wanna talk about?" Jihyo asked
"You know I love you so much right?"
"Minatozaki Sana please be straightforward."
"Okay *I took a deep breath*.............I think Amber and I's marriage will continue--"
"WHAT THE FUCK! WHY?!"
"Hey listen to me first--"
"Listen to you?! Oh come on! I thought you already talked to your parents about this?! Why will you continue the marriage?!"
"Amber wants to continue our marriage!"
"Then tell her that you don't love her because you love me and can you please tell her to stay away from us?! Especially from you! Aish that bitch!"
"Jihyo I can't do that"
"You can't do that?! I thought you're willing to fight for me?! What's with Amber--"
"Cancer"
"So what?! I don't care if she has cance--wait what? Can you repeat what you just said?" Her expression suddenly changed. From furious to confuse.
"She has cancer and I can't leave her side. Amber's still my friend and I still care for her so I hope you understand. I just can't leave her and let her die alone. All of her friends left her all by herself because they're too disgusted to Amber. No one's there for her except for me and her parents of course."
"So you're going to continue the marriage after all?" Jihyo cried
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Atleast we know that we love each other before you get tied with another woman right?"
"I want to get away with this and I'd rather die than marry her--"
"SANA!" Lisa rushed
"Lisa? Why are you--"
"Amber fainted and she'll be rushed in the hospital. You should go now!"
"Shit!"
The three of us rushed in the ambulance. We saw Amber lying down with some machines connected to her. Fuck! Her head and nose is full of blood. I quickly called her parents but their out of reach. I called them for like a hundredth times but they won't pick their phone. Aish come on your daughter is dying! I can't help but cry on Jihyo's shoulder.
"Jihyo, what will I do?" I cried harder
"Shh. I'm here for you"
"I-Is it my fault why Amber--"
"Hey Sana don't blame yourself!" Jihyo reprimanded
When we reached the hospital, they brought Amber in the Emergency Room. The three of us waited for the doctor to come out and afterwards he went out.
"Doc, what happened to her? Is she okay?"
"Uhm I'll be straight to the point. The patient is at the last stage of cancer and the cancer cells are all over her body."
"Can't you remove those cancer cells by operating?" Lisa asked since she's a biology student
"We can easily remove those cancer cells but at the time of operation, the patients chance of survival is only 40% and it would be very risky in case we operate her. We also need the approval of her parents. Are you a relative of the patient?"
"No, we're just her friends.....err I'm actually her fiancé." I replied
"Okay, for now the patient is not yet conscious but she'll be awake soon. Excuse me."
"Thanks doc"
We entered Amber's room. Later on, when Amber's parents arrived, Lisa and Jihyo left already.
"What happened to our daughter?" Amber's mom asked worriedly
"Her cancer attacked"
"I don't know how to thank you Sana. You're always there for our daughter and you never left her. Thank you very much." Amber's dad thanked me while holding my hands.
"My pleasure, mom and dad"
After 3 hours, Amber opened her eyes. She held my hands and hugged me.
"You didn't leave me." Amber whispered
"I told you I'll never ever leave you. I will always be by your side."
"I love you so much"
I didn't know how to respond to her so I just gave her a smile.
"Don't you love me?" She asked
"You need to rest." I replied dodging the question
"Answer my question."
"You already know my answer to your question."
"I want to hear it from you.
"Is marrying you not enough?!?!" I raised my voice and stand
"Sit."
"I'm sorry" I said and sat
"Promise me you'll never look at other girls from now on especially at the time the two of us get married."
"Tss hell no"
"Minatozaki Sana, when will you stop your womanizing habit?!"
"You don't have the right to ask me that kind of question because first of all, we ain't even official and of course we both know that we'll just be married on PAPER and there are clearly no feelings involoved, get it?"
"I love you. Why can't you love me back?"
"Because I love somebody else and that's Jihyo."
"Why her? Why not me?"
"I don't know."
Amber's parents returned already so I left Amber with her parents. I went back in the school for my car. I was on my way home when Amber texted me. I grabbed my phone and read the massage. While texting her back, I didn't notice that there's a kid crossing the road. I quickly turned the car but I also didn't notice the big truck heading my way. The last thing I remembered is that I crashed into the truck and the last thing I saw was a bloody red color covering my entire head.
