Lavellan
Laran and I met in our part of the Fade to train. Since I already knew the basics of magic, there was no need to cover it. Instead, we focused on what my bloodline magic can specifically do. We rounded out what seemed to be the main stuff. I could heal myself and others. I also learned I could sort of connect with animals for short periods of time. Leaquila was the mother of monsters so I guess that makes sense. Laran said my powers would develop further as they settled. That was went I asked the big question.
"Can I talk to other shan lin somehow?"
She didn't look surprised. "We can only feel them, but you might be able to connect with them."
"How do I locate them?"
"You start in the Fade and mentally throw your magic out like a spider web. It'll pick up little tremors. Follow them to the place where they are strongest. It will lead you to the owner."
I nodded to her and thanked her for her help. She vanished, probably waking up. I stayed to find my... cousins? Following her instructions, I threw out my magic and focused. The pulses were almost impossible to detect at first, but the longer I focused, the clearer they became. I picked a random one and chased it.
I don't know how long it took or how far I'd come when I reached the end. I found a female elf sitting at a fire. The light from the flames danced across her bronze skin. Her teal eyes met mine.
"I was wondering how long it would take you, sister," she told me.
"You felt me coming?"
"I saw it. Foresight is one of my gifts. It will help us greatly in the days to come. Now, let us find the dreamer so he can bring us to you."
She rose and started walking in the same direction as one of the pulses. I was about to ask her name, but she answered before I could open my mouth.
"Vesper, but you can call me Ves, sister. I call you sister because that is what we will become."
I nodded. We appeared in an area that appeared to be the slums of a city. A tree in the middle gave away its identity as an alienage. The area was foreign, but something here felt familiar.
"Inquisitor," exclaimed a familiar voice.
I turned to see someone I should've expected. "Feynriel, I wasn't expecting to see you."
"Me neither. What are you here for? Who's that?" He looked healthy and surprised.
"I need your help. This is Ves."
Ves gave a little wave. "Hello, brother."
He looked a little puzzled. "I am an only child."
Ves smirked. "Yes, but we are all shan lin, old blood. Our sister has a problem, and we need to help. Now, we must find the others."
"Wait, what?"
Ves rolled her eyes and looked to me. "Revas, you try to explain."
"Well, there were gods before the Dalish gods. They were real. We're their kids, and I need to stop a Dalish god from ruining the world. Again."
"Are you joking? Oh, Maker, you're not joking. Okay."
"Just come with us. My mentor can explain."
He nodded. Ves grabbed his hand and mine. Suddenly-
We snapped back to the area of the Fade where I train with Laran.
Ves pointed to me. "Wake up."
