Lavellan
"That seer doesn't see everything," Leaquila muttered to me.
"That's not ominous," I replied with a sarcastic grin on my face.
"I'm serious. Those things slaughtered everyone I loved. I don't want you to share that fate."
"They can only get out if the door to the Black City opens, which we can stop Solas from doing."
"You won't need to stop him." I looked at her with confusion all over my face. "Only an isenath can open the door. One of the magisters was an isenath, but the Evanuris do not have one among their numbers."
"Well, they can't sit there forever. We'll have to deal with them at some point."
"W hy?"
"They are a threat. They must be eliminated." I pause before revealing a more sentimental reason. "Their corruption has also cause the death and suffering of countless people over the ages. Were it not for one of our relatives forming the Grey Wardens, they would've already overtaken the world. The only place they should be is in the ground." She looked at me with a small, sad grin. "What?"
"You just remind me of someone."
"Were they also astonishingly good looking?"
She laughed before replying with a yes. "Your team is coming along by the way. I was a little worried about Georgie."
"Yeah, it helped that Ves took him under her wing. Da'nas has been a great help in shining a light on Solas's plan. Royce is starting to remind me of Dorian. I'll have to start limiting their contact time."
"It's good that they've found a like-minded individual. Eloise and Feynriel are getting along as well."
I nodded. "They can all take care of and rely on each other. Cullen told me that's something you can't teach so I'm glad it's innate to us."
"But you are still not content."
I smiled sadly. "I miss him. All the time. It's like I see him everywhere I look, but I also resent him for putting me through this. I just don't understand why he didn't talk to me."
"Magic can't mend a broken heart, unfortunately."
There was a large pause as we looked out into the Fade at all the other islands. Eventually she spoke again.
"There's something I want you to have. At the foot of the well at the south end, I buried a little treasure before I died. You'll be able to reach out with your senses and feel it."
"Alright, thank you!"

I woke up in my bed and ran outside to fetch the 'treasure.' In the courtyard, I passed Royce.
"Breakfast is in 20 minutes," he called.
"Ok, I'm going on a treasure hunt."
He waved over his shoulder. "Let me know if you find anything useful or fashionable."
I laughed and continued to make my way over. The cool grass felt nice against my feet. The breeze ran its fingers through my hair, and the sunlight warmed my face. I eventually reached the well. It looked to be ancient. Carvings in old Elvhen covered it, warding off disease, pests, and the like. They also attracted good health.
"You'll be able to sense it," I murmured to myself. Under her tutelage, my magic had become stronger and more refined. I was able to perform magic that would typically be considered... abnormal. For instance, I could sense other magical objects and feel their purpose. I could also sense the strengths of others. The magic I had been quick to master, much to the surprise of Leaquila, was subjugation. Unlike the temporary hold of a blood mage, it was a total mental takeover. My victim's mind and body was mine to control until I released it or lost control. Subjugation was not a strength of Leaquila's so it was odd that I had it. She seemed to know more than she was telling me, but I didn't press it. A strength I did inherit from her was shapeshifting, specifically a griffon. In my opinion, it was the only thing cooler than a dragon.
