Xiumin: Minseok would have had little interest in the beginning but it'd grow as time passes and the event draws ever near. Soon he'd be asking lots of questions beforehand, not wanting to make any mistakes or seem disrespectful when visiting your family and taking part. He'd constantly be amazed as you explain more, his hands flying up to his face in awe at how interesting it all is. He'd be excited to attend and would be on his best behavior.
Suho: Junmyeon would definitely be interested and want to take part so that he can spend more time with you and get to know your background more. During the actual event, he'd be his normal gentleman-self, asking questions from time to time and doing his best to understand. When alone with you, he'd shoot a quick face at you and start grinning, but this could be taken in many different ways. He'd participate in all that he is allowed to, trying to be encouraging and active.
Lay: Yixing would watch from afar, only wanting to participate if he knew exactly what it was about and how to do it because he doesn't want to be disrespectful or break any rules that there might be. He might ask a question here and there but he'd be reserved with a watchful eye as he absorbs information. He wants to learn, but he'd be a little afraid of doing so, especially since it's right-on-the-spot when he could have tried to learn more beforehand. But he admires your culture and wants to make an effort to learn more after.
Baekhyun: Baekhyun would be nervous about attending these events, but he'd do his best to learn about it beforehand so he isn't at so much of a loss during the actual day-of. At the event, he'd be kind and very conscious of himself when meeting your family as he is aware how important this must be to you and your family so his plans of participating and being active throughout these couple hours suddenly crash and burn as he becomes more reserved and shies away from it.
Chen: Jongdae would watch from afar, like Yixing. This is out of nervousness but also out of not wanting to intrude on practices that you and your family have had for much more time than he even knew about it. He eats the traditional food and constantly watches what plays before him, his thoughts sometimes drifting off but he always comes back to present time. He'd have very diverse thoughts about each aspect of the culture but remind himself that he had to be respectful and mindful of everyone and himself. What he had interests in would be shown through unexpected questions and an apparent want to learn more.
Chanyeol: Chanyeol wouldn't be like his fellow Beagle Line members and would be very active throughout, apologizing constantly if he got something wrong and after every question asked as if he had said something wrong (when he didn't). He shows great interest in everything that is occurring at the cultural event and there's hardly a time he doesn't show it through conversation or his active participation. "Your culture is so cool, (Y/N)!" he says, eyes shining. He'd find something in every culture, in everything of every part of life.
D.O.: Kyungsoo would be content with simply sitting by the side and watching everything from his seat. He'd try to change his point-of-view so that it's from yours, or your parents' or siblings' instead of from his, an outsider's. He'd always be trying to understand, finding deeper meanings and making connections as the festival progresses. But sometimes he'd slip up and just laugh or grin a bit at some of the activities and stories, but this might be because it amuses him or because he really is enjoying himself.
Kai: Jongin would have nonstop, gentle questions and conversations the moment the cultural event began. He'd listen intently, filing all of the information among his thoughts and adding subtle conversational actions like nodding encouragingly or attempting to mimic some of the practices throughout. He'd be as respectful as possible, putting his 'Kai-self' over to the side and shining through as 'Jongin'.
Sehun: Sehun would be reserved after saying hello to your family, then take a seat to the side as he observes what cultural events happen before him. At first, he wouldn't have much interest at all, his hand itching to take out his phone or to go back home to do his own things. But as he continues to watch, his interest starts to grow and peaks and soon he'd be confiding in you and asking some quiet questions as he feels a little embarrassed for acting in his condescending way when now he actually wants to learn what happens in your culture.
A/N: where are you from???
