Bang Yongguk: He is your best friend but you have had a crush on him for the longest time. You tried not to be awkward around him but you somehow always managed to make a fool of yourself. You would trip on your own two feet or stutter on your words and it always happened when he was around you.

But here you were, alone with him nervously sitting next to him while he flicked through the channels to find something to watch. You had invited your friends over just to hang out and chill but all your other friends ditched.

"You like him! He likes you! Just make a move!" Himchan's voice rang in your head and it annoyed you.

I will get my revenge Kim Himchan.

You thought.

"Hey...so, Himchan said something the other day..." Yongguk mumbled.

He had said it so quietly that you had to strain your ears to hear him. And it took you a second to even realize what he had said. And for the second time today you found yourself cursing the existence of Kim. Him. Chan.

"What nonsense has he been spouting now?" you grumbled.

He laughed a little bit before he put his arm around your shoulders and pulled you closer to him. You froze in shock and he must have sensed your discomfort as he loosened his hold around your shoulder.

"He said that...you...er..." it was the first time you saw him lost for words.

He usually had little to say but whenever he had something to say he didn't hesitate so you felt a little bit confused.

"If he said something stupid again, ignore him," you say hoping to comfort him.

"No, no...he said that you felt the same way as me"

You blinked.

"Same way?" you asked feeling more confused.

"Look" he finally said and then took your hands in his own.

He looked straight into your eyes and it made your heart skip a beat.

"What I'm trying to say is...I like you", he says.

"I hope you do, we are best friends," you said, still feeling confused.

"That isn't what I meant", he says as he sounds a bit nervous.

"Did Himchan get in your head? What did he say? I will beat him into a pulp", you say.

"No, no. Forget about Himchan. I meant I want to be with you, more than friends. As in I think I'm in love with you"

It took you a second to process what he had said. Then for the second time, today Himchan's words rang in your head and then for the first time that day you were thankful for the nosy Kim Himchan.

"Yongguk..." you finally say his name and he looks more nervous now.

"I understand if you don't feel the same cuz Himchan does like to play pranks but I still wanted to get this off my chest. So please don't stop being my best friend..." you stop him rambling with a peck on his lips.

Kim Himchan: You didn't mean it to happen but somehow you got sick and it was the day you were finally going to meet up with Himchan, your best friend. You had a headache and felt flushed. It had been a few months since you last saw him as both of you had been busy.

Despite your health, you were determined to meet him today. You were not about to back out of this hangout.

So you took a shot of fever medication, washed up and got dressed. You looked in the mirror. Your eyes were a bit puffy and your cheeks were still red but you looked better than his morning. You hoped that the outside cold air would help lessen the puffiness of your eyes.
