36. EXO Reaction to Responding to You When You Were Calling to Pet

Xiumin: "Baby!" you call, glancing up from your position on the sofa, typing away on the laptop. Instead of the light tap-tap-taps, you were expecting to hear, you instead find Minseok walking in from the other room, your kitten in his arms. 

"Yes, jagi?" he asks expectantly. You start to laugh a little and explain between fits of giggling that you had meant to call for the cat, not him (but of course he's fine too!). He giggles a little along with you, his hand drawing near his mouth as he covers his embarrassed grin. 

He had instinctively responded to the pet nicknames you call each other, it hadn't occurred to him that they could be used for your actual pet as well.

Suho: I think he'd be part of the more embarrassed members, chuckling a little but it dies out quickly in his burning embarrassment. "Ahh, I didn't know," he murmurs as he stares down at his hands, or at the puppy who leaps onto the bed beside you.

 He would be more careful about responding to your calls after that, trying to find the patterns you display when you yell for either him or the little angel-doggy that shares the same nicknames as him.

Lay: In my mind, he honestly wouldn't mind at all. He would simply shrug with a sweet smile on his face then start playing with the puppy, picking it up to join you on the sofa and holding it up to your face, laughing when it covers your cheeks in slimy kisses.

 "It loves you just as much as I do!" he says, and you laugh happily, the previous occurrence being forgotten quickly as you set aside your current task at hand to play with both Yixing and the puppy. Later, it might come up in his thoughts but he wouldn't be embarrassed, he knows that it would have happened sooner or later.

Baekhyun: He starts laughing, his gaze averted then latching back with yours. Baekhyun would be abashed, then start joking around to cover up. "Ahh, but I'm your better 'boo', right?" he asks, a silly expression crossing his face as he snuggles up beside you, mimicking a dog with some convincing woofs. 

"I mean, I'm part of the Beagle Line, I should be the more treasured 'boo'!" he insists as you laugh, pressing a kiss against his forehead. He holds the dog up and says to him, "You can't beat me, I'm the leader of Beagle Line! I'm superior to you, Boo!" 

Chen: "Hey, sweetie, come here!" you say loudly, letting your voice ring through the apartment. You can hear your dog scrambling against the hardwood floor and dashing into the living room where you sat, and you lifted her up to the chair beside you, slipping her some food from your plate. Jongdae peers around the door, staring at you. 

"Did you call for me, jagi?" he asks pleasantly. You grin and say explain that you were calling for the 'other sweetie' in the house. He nods for a moment, realizing his mistake then shoots you a face, not revealing his very, very slight embarrassment. He'd shrug it off and join you at the table, stealing some food from your meal.

Chanyeol: "Dear!" you call. "Dear~" Your cat lifts her head from her paws and stretches luxuriously just as Chanyeol walks in, asking, "Yes, (Y/N)?

" You smile kindly and say you were just trying to get the cat's attention. He nods and grins sheepishly, then attempts to play it off like Baekhyun, breaking out into AOA's "Like a Cat" chorus complete with the catty hand motion. 

The pair of you laugh and continue to dance to the song, feeling silly. He honestly might still be a little embarrassed even after your attention has been diverted but he takes careful actions to not display it, letting it fade off on its own.

D.O.: Kyungsoo would have heard you call out, "Honey!" and absentmindedly wandered into the room you were resting in to find the kitten already snuggled up beside you. 

"Oh, hi, Kyungsoo," you say tiredly, smiling. He tilts his head in confusion, wondering why you were acting like you weren't expecting him then realizing that you had called for the kitten and not him. 

He would start laughing a little, coming out in little bursts as he moves to sit beside you. I think he would be like Minseok, embarrassed, but also feeling a little dumb at having made such a silly mistake. 

He wouldn't admit how he feels, just letting it sit there in his thoughts for a couple days, but as time passes it would fade away.

Kai: He'd instantly respond, holding the lyrics in his hand as he smoothly crosses between the kitchen to the living room, yelling out his response, "Yesss?" and hears you quickly explain that you meant for the cat's company. 

He doesn't stop his pace, only shoots you a kissy-face like Jongin and walks right back to the kitchen, leaving you in a fit of laughter at the silly occurrence. 

He wouldn't mind at all, knowing that you call both him and the cat 'baby', 'boo', 'sweetie' and the sort. But soon after he comes back in and settles beside you, saying that even if you prefer the cat's company over him he likes your company more.

Sehun: He walks in with the puppy in his arms, sounding a "Yes?" to you. "Ah, perfect, I get both of your company here!" you exclaim happily, patting the spots beside you. He settles down and asks teasingly, "You wanted my company, right?

 I'm the better of the company between me and this doggy." You laugh and admit that you had actually called for your pet but he was just as great. He grins sheepishly at this but isn't embarrassed, only finding it funny. 

The two of you continue to joke around and play with the dog, rubbing its belly and throwing its tennis ball around.
