Closing time
I sat in a chair in the Blue & Gold's office and waited for Jughead and Betty to ask their first question.
"To start off, did you know Jason Blossom personally?" Jughead sat on a desk in front of me as he spoke. Betty stood next to him and began to write on her notepad.
"Not really, I clearly ran into him a few times because of Cheryl. He kept to himself a lot from what I noticed." I looked up at him. Betty scribbled on her notepad then asked the next question.
"What tied you and your dad to the Southside Serpents?" Betty rested her hand on her hip.
"My dad owed the serpents. Save your breath, I don't know why. But to help my dad, my brothers and I did a few drug runs. To seal the deal, we had to supply a car to someone who needed a getaway car. I'm not one hundred percent sure, but Jason would probably need it if he was trying to run away." I said, I avoided eye contact and just stared down.
"Do you know where the car is?" Jughead asked.
"Not anymore." I shrugged.
"Where was your dad on July 11th?" Jughead tries to get into my line of sight.
"What does that have- wait, you think he killed Jason Blossom?" I lift my head up and glare at him. "Well Jughead, maybe you should look a little closer to home. FP isn't looking so innocent right now, is he?" I added.
"Yeah right, you're just picking names out of the sky at this point." Betty dropped the notepad and pen on the desk and stared at me.
"If the serpents brought you and your brothers into their business. Wouldn't it seem like a warning shot to kill Jason Blossom? Someone that helped them so much, out of the picture would mean lots of expenses lost. Your father's death was kind of convenient." He glared back at me. He did not just go there.
"Oh really? Why don't you tell me what FP was doing on July 11th? Jason was dealing with a dangerous gang, that your father happens to be the leader of." I stand up and grab my stuff. I wait for an answer but the two just look at each other with a 'kiss ass' look on their face.
I scoff to myself then storm out the door. I make sure to slam the door behind me. How dare Jughead make an accusation like that. When his father is the leader of the gang that boy was dealing with.

"The drive-in closing is just one more nail in the coffin, known as Riverdale. No forget Riverdale, the coffin of the American dream." Jughead exclaims. He was extremely upset that the drive-in is closing. He told stories about his sister and him going with his family. I just stared at my milkshake as Betty pulled up a chair to fit all of us in one booth.
"As the godfather of indie film, Quentin Tarantino, likes to say..." Jughead started up again.
"Oh my god Jughead, chill with the movie references," I say, avoiding eye contact. I was still mad at him from before. I cannot believe he had the nerve to say that to me. He knew I'm still grieving and he asked me that absurd question.
"Yes please, no more Quentin Tarantino references," Kevin adds.
"What? I'm pissed!" He fired back.
