A Single White Hibiscus (Pearl x Rose)

10. The Beach

Pearl and Rose stepped on the moonlit beach, where warmth and humidity embraced their bodies. White grains of sand slipped through their toes as Pearl dashed forward.

"Rose!"
"Pearl."

Upon reaching the water, they huddled and kissed together as they stood next to each other. In a warm, friendly silence, Pearl thought Rose's tongue tasted like candy and her skin felt like soft cloud. Pearl ran her fingers up Rose's thick, beautiful arms, ultimately locking fingers with her.

"My Pearl."
"You're wonderful."

Whispers filled up a tiny airspace between them, in a private beach dedicated to their coexistence and peace. Garnet and Amethyst had gone off to other locations on earth, and tonight only the rest of the two Crystal Gems—Pearl and Rose—remained. A silver line connected them; Pearl dreamily looked over at Rose's darkest eyes.

"You are...absolutely gorgeous, my—."
"Shhh."

Getting her finger close to Pearl's thin, shiny lips, Rose silenced her, and kissed her again. Squishing, some heavy breathing, moaning, dreamily looking up, enchanted, looking down with ease, matching eyes, a light ocean breeze, a cool night's temperature, hot skin. Everything felt so ephemeral at that moment of sweet exchange, even though their lives were perennial and their breaths eternal.
