I went home the next day, accompanied by my new boyfriend. I wanted to tell my parents, but not then. Ecspecially with Ashton next to me. That'd just make it awkward.
A whole week passed. it was a week of nothingness, to be honest. Ashton and his band went back to Australia for vacation and to see their old friends. I really hoped Ashton wasn't a player or a cheater. What if his real girlfriend lived in Australia and I was the one he was cheating with? I mean, I only just met him - he could be capable of anything.
I found his band's YouTube channel. It was named hemmo96 and they only had 1,059 subscribers. I laughed and cried so hard watching those videos. I really missed Ashy.
I grabbed my iPhone and went for a jog. I started the local radio app and listened to the DJ ramble. "That was One Direction's newer song called Little Things!" Ew, I could never understand Directioners or One Direction in general. A bunch of girly girls fainting and crying because of a boy band? Thanks but no. "Speaking of the lovely boyband, let's play a song from the opening act for the leg of the American tour!" Seriously? Boooring. I came here for music, not promotion. "This band of four boys have been on YouTube for a while now and were found by Lewis from One Direction!" They're YouTubers? They should stay on the internet, not on stage. Plus who's desperate enough to tour with One Direction? "Recently both bands Tweeted about their excitement for the Take Me Home tour!" Get on with it! I wanna hear music, not teen news. "The song is Heartbreak Girl by 5 Seconds of Summer!!!"
I stopped jogging immediately. I didn't know what to do. Should I have cried, fainted, died? I exited the app quickly and called Ashton. He answered after the first ring. "Hey baby girl, what's up?" He was acting very nonchalant.
"What the fuck do you mean 'what's up?!!' Your touring America with the world's biggest boyband!! You didn't tell me?!!" I shouted, only realizing after screaming that his eyes were probably bleeding. "Sorry," I added quickly.
"I was planning on telling you when we got home. I thought you'd take the news better in person.." He trailed off. Why did he get so upset at the subject?! This was great!
"But this is awesome! I don't know how I'd take it any better!"
"I think you've forgotten that it's a tour. Of all 50 states. Not just the one you live in. The tour bus won't fit anyone else. I've already looked into letting you along but it won't work."
I swear, I almost died there.
