The wind caressed my skin as it slid and sculpted my curves with its light hushes. It played at the hem of my silk lingerie, making it slid up and my legs peeked out.
The shivery feel of the air from the ruffling curtain of the house snaked soft whispers on the strap of my lingerie, making it slide down lovingly.
I moaned in sheer delight.
It was one of those morning that starts the day right.
I stretched my arms up my head and stirred to the other side.
A smile was carved on my lips because of the soothing wind that continued to kiss my skin gently.
It travelled from the hill of my bottom to the curve of my hips, rivering up to my tummy up the sides of my chest. It then settled and conquered the whole of my bre-
Wait what?
I opened my eyes and checked to confirm my suspicion and I was right.
I stared at my chest and the familiar hand cupping it.
I stirred back to the other side and met a pair of sleepy specks of gray. His eyes twinkled with mischief, reflecting the same vibe as the side smile that slowly curled up his lips.
He groaned lazily and placed his hands on my hips before pulling me with ease into his well-toned chest that never fail to make my senses wild. He entangled his feet with mine, locking me inside his embrace.
He came closer to me but before he can land a peck, I held my hand up between his lips and mine.
"You know we can't do that." I warned, my brow arching meaningfully.
He pouted and slumped, shoving his hair on the side of my face while he nuzzled me on my neck which didn't help with my plan of resisting the early appetite of this gorgeous man.
I can never understand these morning cravings he has even though we almost did it every morning since the time we lived under one roof with the blessings of both our families and the church.
"Why do you always have rules? Is this your style of playing hard to get?" Lucas asked teasingly.
I rolled my eyes.
"No and don't act like you're suffering from it. You pretty much made it your job to break every rule in this house."
He grinned.
"What can I say, the rules bend to me. I'm the master of this house or you need to be reminded of that."
His brows arched in a challenge while I heaved a sigh of defeat.
Before I can react, his hands went to my nape and firmly held me in place while he came nearer to me.
"Mr. Roscoe, I'm warning you." I said before he can continue the source of our being late for work for the past years.
He cocked a confident smile before saying, "You know that doesn't work on me, Mrs. Roscoe."
Just then the door knob clicked open, Lucas looked at it with a grim expression as to who disturbed his early meal while I looked at it expectantly because Lucas and I both know there's only one person who comes to visit us this morning. Probably the most reason for Lucas' sulky mood and good mornings.
A pair of gray eyes identical to Lucas' peeked from the frame of the door as though to inspect the entire room and when his eyes landed on us, he came in screaming and jumping between Lucas and I. Making Lucas move away from me to give space to the little toddler.
"Daddy! Mommy!"
"Come here you little rascal." Lucas gathered Leo on his arms while our son squealed to be freed from the tickling his father was giving him.
He settled with heavy breaths on an unsteady sit when Lucas finally stopped tickling him.
"Why I'm little rascal. I'm Little Roscoe." He said, eating most of the words in a mumble while his eyes were questioning Lucas.
Lucas smiled softly and said, "Because you're five now. You're a big boy already and we got our Little Roscoe here." He said and patted my tummy which made little Leo's cute round eyes wide.
"Little Roscoe? What is it Daddy?" He asked in astonishment while looking at the little bump on my tummy.
"It's a baby Roscoe. You're going to be a big brother! Aren't you excited?" I asked sounding excited for him.
Leo crunched up his nose and scratched the side of his head in confusion.
"What is a big brother?"
Lucas pulled Leo to sit on his lap and kissed Leo's cheeks dearly.
"A big brother is like Daddy to Aunt Rose and Uncle Veron to Mommy." He explained as simplest as he can manage.
Leo nodded but his face still looked confused. Lucas ruffled his hair while saying, "You'll understand when you grow up."
"Come honey, say good morning to Little Roscoe." I said, pulling Leo's cute tiny hands to my tummy.
Lucas did the same and I looked at their adorable hands pressed lightly on my bump.
"What do you think Little Roscoe is, a baby girl or a baby boy?" I asked when Leo smiled at my tummy.
He looked up as if to think and then clasped his hands together.
"I want a baby boy but this a baby girl." He concluded.
Lucas raised a brow playfully.
"And why does our little rascal think so?"
"I heard her last night." He exclaimed, proud of himself for discovering this.
Lucas went with Leo's claim.
"Really? You heard her?" He asked in a tone that imitated an amazed kid.
Leo nodded.
"Mm-hmm. I was scared and then I-I came here but can't open the door and then Mommy and Daddy are sleeping but I heard her!" He said again, more determined now.
"Really, honey? What did Little Roscoe said?" I asked.
"She said 'mm and ah' and then she said Daddy's name and then I heard her say 'Lucas Lucas' many times."
Leo was a five years old child. He is not old enough to understand these stuffs and yet his innocence is the only thing that made Lucas blushed so hard.
His ears reddened like fire while I felt like I was suddenly soaked with a bucket of ice.
"Lucas?"
I turned to look at him to hopefully explain or take control of this situation but he was still speechless.
His forehead then formed a scowl, a stern look he uses to lecture our son.
"Come here, big boy." He said while he made Leo stood.
The young boy responded with pressed lips as though he knows his father needs his full attention.
"What is it Daddy?"
Lucas looked at him straight in the eye.
"You must never tell that to anyone, do you understand me?"
Leo nodded quickly to appease his father's scowl.
Lucas narrowed his eyes as if to say more but I tapped his hand to stop him.
"You're scaring him." I whispered.
Lucas cleared his throat and smiled at Leo.
"Promise Daddy you'll never tell anyone." Lucas said.
Leo played with his fingers before peeking his eyes guiltily to Lucas.
"Can't Daddy."
"And why is that?"
"I already told Uncle Veron and then he is at the kitchen and-and he said come here to say he's here."
