"What time does this thing start?" Aim asked Jae as they set up the table for selling the chili's.
"At Noon. Are you up for this?" Jae took in Aim's tired appearance and was concerned.
After giving a big yawn Aim smiled. "Absolutely. It is your Ma's fault for my sleepiness. She kept us up way past our bedtime."
"I'll remind her next time that you need your beauty sleep, old man," Jae teased.
"How is that you are so damn awake right now? We went to sleep at the same hour," Aim whined.
"I'm used to not getting a lot of sleep. I'm a pro at functioning while sleep deprived."
"Is that a skill that can be taught? I could use it for when I'm exhausted and stuck in class."
Jae laughed and pulled Aim in close, "Would you like to start your first lesson in surviving on minimal sleep tonight? I can think of a few ways to keep you up most of the night."
Aim pushed his smirking boyfriend away. "Not a chance, perv. Spawn, Oak, and Yu should be here shortly to help us."
"Fine, I'll be good...for now."
Jae, Spawn, Oak, and Yu were in charge of the chili booth since they won the cookoff. Aim volunteered to help sell the cookies him and Jae painstakingly made and had to be remade thanks to a bunch of cookie thiefs. It had worked out for the best since they now had double of what they originally baked.
The chili had been made in huge batches throughout the week and put in the freezer for them to reheat before the fair started. Nan and Carola were helping them out by getting the chili heated through and Bill was bringing it over when ready. They were going to keep it hot using roaster pans and crockpots.
Even though Mama Carola's visit had been unexpected Aim really enjoyed meeting Jae's Ma. He could easily see where he got a lot of his personality from. The two of them together had him blushing all night. Man did they like to tease him, but in a good natured way so he wasn't mad about it.
"How are you guys doing? Is everything going to be ready in time?" Arthit asked as him and Kong approached their table.
"Everything is ready. We are just waiting on the chili delivery which will come closer to the time," Aim explained.
"Awesome. Now we are going to check on our other booths. We will be back later to buy some chili."
"And cookies," Kong added.
"And cookies," Arthit agreed taking Kong's hand to lead him off to the next booth.
"Do you want to check out the other booths before we get stuck behind ours?" Jae asked.
"Sure. I'm just glad I'm not working the kissing booth and that fell to the pledges," Aim said letting out a soft curse as he put two and two together. "Please tell me you aren't signed up for the kissing booth?"
"Uh, you want the truth or a lie..." Jae started walking ahead of his now growling boyfriend.
"Why would you lie? Now wait just a minute. Don't walk away from me Jae! Get back here," Aim shouted picking up his pace. Aim had someone to talk to about straightening this mess up.

Bright stared Daniel down determined to win this battle. Like hell his adorable face was going to take a turn in that kissing booth. No fucking way!
"B, I'm a pledge. It is my duty," Daniel tried explaining.
"It's your duty to kiss strangers?! I don't think so. Let one of the unattached pledges do it."
Daniel brought Bright down so they could look eye to eye on his level. "It's just some harmless kissing. It doesn't mean anything."
"Fine, then I'll take a turn also." Bright smirked at seeing the instant change in Daniel's demeanor. Bright thought Daniel look cute as fuck when he got angry. Reminded him of a growling puppy.
Daniel schooled his features and shrugged nonchalantly before saying, "Sure B. I don't mind."
Bright knew that he did mind after Daniel turned on his heel and stomped off.
Walking up to the kissing booth Bright was surprised to see Quinn sitting at the table.
"They seriously put you in charge of the kissing booth?" Bright asked in disbelief.
"Fuck off Bright. I couldn't dodge Prem when he told me I had to participate this year at the fair. You aren't getting my ass into a dunk tank," Quinn shuddered even just thinking about all the germs in that water.
"I need to see the list of pledges signed up for the booth."
Quinn laid his hand on the sheet of paper bringing it closer to himself. "Why? Aren't you in charge of the dunk tank? Why are you all up in kissing booth business?"
"Just let me see it you grumpy ass," Bright said through clenched teeth while grabbing the paper out from under Quinn's hand.
Scanning it he saw Daniels name towards the middle of the page. Taking a pen from off the table he scratched Dainel's name out. Handing it back to Quinn he turned to leave.
"You can't just take his name off because you are boyfriend's. Then all the pledges possessive asshole boyfriends will do the same!"
"Not my problem."
"Everything good here?"
Quinn nodded his head at the head hazer and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Just how long does this last?" Quinn inquired trying to plan his escape route.
"Until late, but you don't have to man the booth the whole time. Prem and Toota will be taking turns with you," Kong said. "Oh, and of course there is tomorrow too."
"Goody, I can't wait."

"Before you ask we have everything ready for the dunk tank," Knott said as he saw Arthit and Kong walk towards him.
"I'm just checking! Who is first in the tank?" Arthit asked.
"Fifth."
"Great." Kong looked at his watch and saw that it was ten til noon. "It's almost time. I'll be back later for my turn."
Arthit whipped his head around looking like Linda Blair in the exorcist. "What turn? Who said you could work the dunking booth?" Arthit growled.
"Better than the kissing booth, right hon? I'll be wearing swim trunks and a shirt. It will be fine," Kong soothed.
"KONGPOP! How the hell is it fine for everyone to see you all wet!? Even with clothes on. No way. Find someone else."
"Don't pout, hon. It will only be one hour and then it will be your turn," Kong teased.
"An hour!" Arthit shouted. "Wait what did you say? I didn't sign up to be dunked."
Kong just grinned.
"KONGPOP!"
"It's going to be fun. Now let's go fill your belly so you'll stop being a growly bear." Kong grabbed Arthit's arm and didn't leave any room for argument as he pulled him towards the chili booth. "See you later Knott."
Knott shook his head at his crazy friends and waved as they walked away.
Let the fair begin!
