"Are you ready hon?" Kong asked straightening Arthit's tie.
"Yes. It's hard to believe that four weeks have went by and we are welcoming thirteen new brothers and fifteen new sisters into the houses."
"What a four weeks it has been. I'm proud of you Arthit. Pledging might have started off rough but you didn't give up. You were a great head hazer."
"You will be an even better head hazer next year," Arthit said leaning in for a quick kiss.
"I look forward to it even though you won't be around as much," Kong said sadly.
"I'll just be a few miles away. Now let's get this ceremony started."
Kong walked with Arthit until he got to the stairs of the auditorium stage. While Arthit went up Kong went to go sit down in the first row. This year's induction ceremony was way different than past years.
"Welcome brothers, sisters, pledges, and non house members. Normally induction ceremonies are not open to family members but the women in a certain pledges life wouldn't take no for an answer," Arthit announced dryly. Turning to the pledges sitting together up on the stage Jae gave Arthit a smirk and waved to his ma, sister, and aunt. No one not even Arthit was going to say no to those women. Once the other pledges got wind that Jae's family was coming they all wanted to bring someone whether it be parents, siblings, boyfriends, or girlfriends. Arthit couldn't very well say no to them once he had said yes to Jae's family.
"SOTUS stands for Seniority, Order, Tradition, Unity, and Spirit. In order to become part of SOTUS House we all have to go through various tasks to learn these five attributes. Not all pledges were able to complete these tasks and left pledging early. Being a SOTUS House brother or sister is not for everyone and that is okay. As the head of the hazing team this year I am very proud of our remaining pledges and look forward to welcoming them into SOTUS House as full fledged brothers and sisters," Arthit announced.
"The gear is the symbol of SOTUS House. It is a part of a system of cogwheels which power and run a device. If one gear fails the device stops working. Working together the gears or pledges make our system run smoothly. Arthit and I are thrilled to induct this years crop of pledges into SOTUS House. As we call your name please step forward to receive your gear. As you cross the threshold of the stage you are crossing from being pledges to brothers or sisters. On behalf of all the seniors we congratulate you," Kitty said.
The first one called was Noh. Noh stood up and with a reassuring squeeze of Phun's hand he walked over to stand in front of Arthit.
"I know we didn't have the smoothest start but thank you for sticking it out. I am proud to call you brother," Arthit praised. "Now repeat after me..."
With each new name called they stepped up to receive their gear and take the house's pledge.
"We are having a party tonight in Dorothy Wobniar park to celebrate our pledges. Everyone is invited. We hope to see you there," Kitty announced once the ceremony was over.
"I'm so proud of my baby!" Mama Carola squealed giving Jae a bone crushing hug.
"Thank you, Ma."
"You did good cutie pie. I'm not just talking about pledging," Araya said looking at Aim holding his hand.
"We need to talk about how often you talk to my boyfriend, Noona," Jae whined.
"Jealous?"
"Yes! You don't even talk to me that much."
"I like him better," Araya smirked.
"Noona!"
"Okay children," Mama was smiling as she scolded them. "I think Jae has to go get ready to play."
"Right! I'll see you all later," Jae gave each a kiss and ran off to help the rest of his band members set up for tonight.
"I'm so excited to be here!" Pang shouted giving her brother a hug.
"I can't believe our parents let you come," Phun groaned. Phun's parents were out of town on business and sent Pang to represent the family. He didn't think they understood they just sent Pang to her own personal Disneyland.
"All your house brothers are so cute! Those two were holding hands," Pang looked very much like the fangirl she was with her hands flapping excitedly up to her face.
"Come on Pang. You don't want to miss Hell's Princes," Phun said putting his arm around Pang's shoulders steering her out of the auditorium.

"Most of us didn't know what we were getting into when we decided to pledge SOTUS House, but for me it has been an experience I never want to forget. I am looking forward to spending the next four years as part of this Fraternity. Congratulations to us!" Noh yelled and as the roaring died down he announced their first song. "We are Hell's Prince and I like me better when I'm with you."
As the band started playing Araya took a good look around the park and smiled. She was glad her brother found a good family to take care of him when her and Mama couldn't. Araya was aware that her baby brother was more than capable of taking care of himself but she worried less knowing he had good people surrounding him and was grateful he met someone like Aim.
"What are you smiling about?" Mama asked looping their arms together.
"Just that no matter where I go I'm surrounded by possessive asshole boyfriends."
Mama laughed amused. "You wouldn't have it any other way."
"So true. They just remind a lot of my boys back home. Maybe I should open a cafe here? To be closer to Jae?"
"And what would your boys back home do without you? Besides you and Walt are established in Pomrak Ridge," Mama reminded.
"Fine. I'm just sad thinking about some of my boys graduating this year but we still have eight months before that happens. No use becoming a crybaby yet."
"Jae will be fine. He has good people here to watch over him," Mama said.
Before Araya could respond the music abruptly stopped followed by shouting.
"You wanna bet you little shit! Let's..." Bright screamed at Jae, who was still seated behind the drums, while Daniel slapped his hand over Bright's mouth shutting him up.
Mama said good people, not smart.
"I'm surrounded by idiots!" Arthit shouted making everyone laugh.
Yes, surrounded by possessive, loyal, sweet, lovable idiots and Araya knew none of them would have it any other way.

This isn't goodbye my lovelies, just see you later. The last chapter may be closing on this story but I have many more stories in me to write. I may even revisit SH with a flock of new pledges but only time will tell. Right now I want to focus on a novel I have been writing. Thank you all for riding along on this journey with me. I didn't know when I started this story if anyone would even read it and now it is going on 100K reads. I am humbled and appreciative of all my lovelies. Thank you for every comment and vote. We have had some wicked fun comment threads that made me laugh until I cried. Until we meet again...
Lots of Love,
