You Belong With Me

After a week Max and Anna's things are fully moved in, it's been a long process but it's finally starting to feel like a home. Everyone's sitting on the sofa having general chit chat and Max takes this opportunity to get to know Charlie even more. "So what do you do for a living Charlie?" Max asks. "I write up interviews for a magazine company, so my colleagues will do an interview with someone and my job is to write it up."
"Hmmm interesting, it's a great job but I hate the media for my job" Max says bluntly. "Argh tell me about it" Stoffel moans in agreement. "How do you mean?" Charlie asks.
"Well if you say one thing in the wrong way the media take it out of proportion and blow everything up"
"Hmm" Charlie doesn't really know what to say as she knows what they mean but it's her job.

"Anna do you want to go out for lunch while the boys train" Charlie asks. It gets quite boring for the girls when the boys have to train, sometimes they join in but Charlie wanted a catch up with Anna.
"Sure go on!"

Both girls go into their rooms to get changed. Despite it being January it was extremely hot in Monaco so Charlie decided to wear a floral summer dress and some sandals, with the warm weather Charlie wasn't too bothered about makeup so some mascara and lip balm would do. As the girls are ready to leave the boys are in the kitchen in their gym outfits getting some water. Max's eyes instantly fall on Charlie as he thinks to him self how naturally gorgeous she is. Max doesn't know what he feels towards Charlie as they've only known each other a week, but he does find her very attractive and he wants to get to know her even more.

Anna and Charlie go to this small bakery cafe looking out on the harbour. "Max was totally checking you out when we're leaving" Anna instantly blurts out. "Oh shush" Charlie blushes.
"Omg do you like him."
"Oh come on I've only known him a week"
"But you find him attractive"
"I mean yeah he's attractive but I've just finished with Michael and he's an F1 driver so no it's bad enough Stoff being one"
"Okay you need to get to know him and take it slow, and I know what you mean him being an F1 driver but Stoff has never crashed and yes I get nervous but he knows what he's doing. You can't let that get in the way of you liking someone" Anna is always truthful with Charlie because that's the type of friendship they have, they will tell each other straight. They've never fallen out majorly because of it. But this time Charlie doesn't think Anna gets what she means.
"Okay yeah I know but what if something does happen I can't go through what I went through with my parents. And I never said I like Max i said I find him attractive " Charlie argues back. "You've never lost someone you don't know the feeling" "Okay I don't know the feeling but don't you think I get nervous every time stoff steps into the car, but I love him and trust him." Anna's voice starts to raise.
"That's why I don't go races! I've been through enough and I can't lose my best friend."
"Okay but you've got to learn not to push people away because of your past"
Charlie had enough so she got up and stormed out the cafe leaving Anna on her own. They've never fallen out before but Anna knows how Charlie can be.

Charlie walks home with tears pouring out her eyes, she can't believe Anna can sit there and say she knows what she's going through when Anna hasn't lost her parents. When Charlie gets home she ignores the fact the boys are in the living room and goes straight to her room where she slams the door. Max gets up to see her but Stoffel stops him. Not long after Anna walks through the door with a furious look on her face.
"What happened babe?" Stoffel asks Anna looking concerned. "We were talking and she completely flips on me bringing up her parents and storms out the cafe leaving me" Anna explains to the boys. Max is extremely confused about 'the parents' part however he doesn't want to ask. Stoffel  thinks hard "oh shit tomorrow's 25th of January, her mothers birthday". "Shit" Anna feels extremely bad as she forgot however she knows to give Charlie space.
