It was the Monaco GP and Charlie was excited until Luke couldn't come. Luke had to go to Italy to do some photography work. "Where's your 'boyfriend'" Max teased. "He's in Italy working" Charlie said disheartened, she really wanted Luke to come. "Don't worry babe you've got me and he's coming to the event isn't he?" Anna said while hugging Charlie. Charlie nodded. After Monaco all the drivers have to go to an event each driver is allowed to take friends if they wish. Stoffel kindly said that Luke could come with Charlie.

"It's gonna be like a double date" Anna said while getting far too excited. "Oh thanks guys I'm gonna be on my own" max rolled his eyes. "What about you know who" Stoffel smirked. "Who?" Charlie was quickly to but in. "Ooo don't be getting jealous, Luke won't like it" Max loved to tease Charlie, she just ignored him. "Yeah I'm going to meet up with her now actually" max said walking out the apartment.

"So what brings me here then Verstappen".  "I need you help, the thing is Dilara there's an event after the race and I was wondering if you want to come with me" Max confessed. "So who's the girl" Dilara laughed, "what do you mean" max said as he's been caught out. "Okay you never ask me to events and it's obvious you want to make a girl jealous so who is she?" Dilara smiled, she didn't mind as her and Max were good friends and she knew they would never be anything romantic between them. "Okay it's Charlie, she's Stoffel's best friends. We've had a few moments and I do like her but she thinks I want to have fun with others girls. Well now she's met this Luke and he's coming." Max said clearly annoyed by Luke. "Of course I'll come, that's what friends are for." Dilara smiled.

Monaco wasn't the best of races for Stoffel or Max, Stoffel finished P14 and Max finished P9. However Daniel won and he was over the moon. Tonight was the event and Luke still wasn't in Monaco. Charlie and Anna had just finished getting ready and there was a knock at the door, Charlie got excited thinking it was Luke. But when she answered the door there was a girl who was probably the same height as Charlie, dark brown eyes and brown eyes in this beautiful grey dress with her hair pinned back. "Um hello" Charlie said awkwardly. "Hello, I'm Dilara. Nice to meet you, is Max in?" Dilara said while hugging Charlie. "Ah yes he is, come in. I'm Charlie by the way" Charlie greeted her although she felt very awkward. Dilara walked over to max and hugged him. "You look absolutely stunning babe" max said kissing her cheek. Dilara just giggled. Charlie walked straight into her room where Anna was. "Max I feel so bad she seems lovely" Dilara whispered. "It's only one night" Max reassured her.

"Can you believe it?" Charlie said slamming her door. "What?" Anna was confused. "Well first Luke isn't here he said he's running late and he's having to meet us in there. Which means I'm walking in alone, great! And max! Bringing that girl like...." Charlie ranted. "Chill. Breathe. Luke will be here and you'll be happy, forget about max you have Luke." Anna calmed Charlie down. "Yeah you're right, Max isn't my priority anymore Luke is." Charlie said calming herself down. Charlie knows she should get herself worked up about Max anymore.

Stoffel, Max and Dilara was in the kitchen chatting, "oh my you two look stunning" Stoffel said as Charlie and Anna walked in. Anna was in this lovely lime green silk dress while Charlie was in a lace black dress. "Awh Stoff you're too cute" Charlie said hugging Stoffel. "Luke is very lucky" Stoffel smirked. "Yeah hopefully he will turn up" Charlie laughed.

They all arrived at the event and there was a lot of paparazzi outside snapping pictures of everyone that walked in. The venue was gorgeous, it was this open roof room with a balcony. Once they arrived they greeted everyone as all the drivers were there. They had been there about an hour so Charlie decided to stand on the balcony looking over the skyline waiting for Luke. Max decided to walk over to her. "Hey" Max said joint Charlie looking over Monaco. "Where's your date?" Charlie asked. "Ah she's probably mingling with everyone else. Where's Luke? I thought he was coming" Max looked sympathetic. "I don't think he's gonna make it, he's been called to work in Germany tomorrow so he got on a flight straight from Italy to Germany" Charlie confessed looking sad. "Ah I see" Max wasn't really sure what to say, he did feel guilty trying to make Charlie jealous but seeing her alone made Max just want to spend time with her. "I think I'm going to head home" Charlie said. "You can't go home we've only been here an hour. Go find Anna or Dilara, she said how much she wants to meet you." Max didn't want Charlie to leave.

Charlie had been talking to Dilara for a while and Charlie had to admit she was a lovely girl. "So tell me about Luke" Dilara smirked. "Well the thing is when I first met him I felt a good connection like he's very attractive and we have a few things in common." "I feel like there's going to be a however" Dilara interrupted. "However he's never around, we do not have the same sense of humour and...." Charlie was honest. "He's not max" Dilara finished Charlie's sentence. Charlie just gave her a funny look. "I don't mean to be rude but I can see the connection between you and Max, you care for each other so much. Okay yes you are with Luke but he will always be there for you, waiting" Dilara continued. Charlie just sighed not knowing how to feel. "Wait what about you and Max?" Charlie was now confused. "There is no me and Max, we are close friends." Dilara laughed.

2 weeks later
Everyone was at the Canadian GP, Charlie really wanted to go but this was the only weekend she could see Luke as he was flying to Australia for a few weeks. Charlie hasn't seen Luke for a week as he's been in Sweden, he was able to pop into Monaco for a day however they haven't spoke since picture of Luke and this mysterious blonde model called Melissa got pictured together. Charlie invited Luke round to sort things out. Charlie knows Luke is a photographer but these photos that were taken of them two was no photo shoot. Charlie had cooked dinner and once they finished they sat on the sofa. Charlie was really nervous to talk to Luke as she had been in similar situations with Max.

"Um Luke can we talk, about us?"  "Sure, go on" Luke was bothered and seemed weirdly confident. "Who's Melissa?" Charlie was blunt. "Ah she's my friend who I have history with" Luke said proudly. "Well are you not going to reassure me that there's nothing going on between you." Charlie laughed awkwardly. "Um well that's the thing, we did hook up in Sweden." Luke was very straight forward, Charlie just felt like she had been stabbed in the heart. "So you cheated on me" Charlie started to get tears in her eyes. "Well we weren't official and it's not my fault we never see each other." Luke shrugged. "Okay we don't see each other due to our jobs but that gives you no right to cheat on me and hurt me like that. I trusted you and I did like you! We've spent several nights together and now you've just thrown that all away." Charlie raised her voice. "For all I know you and Max are probably getting off behind my back!" Luke shouted. "Get out! Don't ever say that! You cheated, not me!! I never want to see you again" Charlie started to cry. Luke just stormed out, she felt used.

Charlie didn't know what to do, she really started to fall for Luke but he was just another fuckboy. Charlie sat there in the quiet apartment just crying. She decided to text Stoffel even though he was in Canada, he was coming home tomorrow so she could see him then.

Whenever Stoffel or Charlie was upset when they were little their tradition was to sit on the sofa all day and talk it all out. This is what Charlie could really do with right now.
