She decided she was going to leave, as soon as all of this was over.
Of course, she knew it might not ever be over, because maybe The Dancer would get to her, and finish his cleansing. Her point was, that if it ever did end, she wasn't going to stick around with the Ashborne brothers.
She hadn't told anybody else about the green eyes she saw watching her at the soccer match, and wasn't going to. She didn't want to scare them with how close The Dancer just might be.
"Madison." Austin's voice interrupted her thoughts, snapping her back to the present.
"Yeah, sorry." She muttered. Her and Austin were at the dining table, his laptop in front of them. It was around midnight; Marcus and Sebastian were asleep, and Tyler was still out with friends, celebrating the winning of the soccer match. They had won, 7-2, with Tyler scoring four of those goals, Geoff scoring two, and another player which Madison didn't know, who scored the final one.
They were trying to uncover a bit more about who The Dancer really was. Madison had spoken with Geoff after the game, and he said his parents were business people, usually in their offices, or in conference meetings. They owned other businesses, including a KFC store and a pharmacy.
"So, because The Dancer is a franchise business, we're going to have to look at all the staff in every damn studio." Austin said, scrolling down the page of a website.
"If you get tired, I'll look."
Austin smiled, "Thanks."
There was a silence. Madison cleared her throat, "Any plans for the future?"
"Yeah. I've always wanted to get into IT." He said, leaning back in his chair a bit, "I got top grades and everything, highest award of my graduating class, but I had to stick around and help Marcus."
"You're hoping that after this whole thing goes down you might be able to get out of here?"
"Yeah." Austin nodded, "Something like that. What about you?"
Madison shrugged, "Ballet has always been my thing. If I can't do ballet, then I might try do nursing, or something along those lines."
Austin nodded slowly, "Sounds good." He went quiet, looking carefully at the website he was on.
"What exactly are you looking for?" Madison frowned, "Like, how are we going to narrow down which staff member is maybe linked to The Dancer?"
Austin smiled, "It's going to be hard, but there's a few factors I'll look at. If the person has family, any other jobs, where they live, and try link those things with the murder cases. This could take a while."
Madison took a deep breath, and decided to ask, "Are you going to move out after all of this?"
"Not sure. I don't want to leave my brothers, but I also want to get on with my own life. You?"
"I want out of here when all of this ends. If it ever does."
"You going with Tyler?" Austin asked, focusing back on the website.
"No." Madison was startled by the question.
"Why not?"
"Isn't Tyler going to another state for Kate?"
Austin looked up from his laptop to Madison, "Who told you that?"
"Sebastian." Madison said quietly.
Austin took his glasses off and looked at her. Madison noticed he was very similar looking to the twins, he almost could have been their triplet. "You can't tell Tyler what I'm about to tell you. Promise?"
