Marcus shot up from the table and pointed a finger at Tyler, "It's your fault!"
Tyler rolled his eyes, "Sit down, for God's sake."
Marcus shoved his chair outwards and made his way to Tyler's side of the table, "You stupid, son of a bi-"
Tyler shot up too, shoving Marcus backwards and pinning him against the wall by the collar of his shirt, "Shut up. I swear to God, shut the hell up."
They were at the dining table, and Austin was about to tell everyone the information he and Madison had found, and ask everyone what they thought the next move should be. Obviously, it wasn't going as planned.
Marcus and Tyler had come downstairs, both arguing, about something to do with Kate. Tyler had confronted Marcus, asking him why he didn't think to tell him about Kate's death. Marcus had blamed Tyler, for being too ignorant to listen to what others had to say. The argument was clearly pointless - Kate was dead, nothing could be done about it.
"You all blame for shit that has nothing to do with me," Tyler started yelling, turning to the table, "Mom's death, dad's insanity, Kate's death, the next door neighbour's dog barking."
Madison almost smiled at the last one. He always had to add something sarcastic on the end, especially when he was mad.
"You going to start crying or something?" Sebastian said.
Tyler's face was emotionless. His jaw kept tensing, and his fists clenching. Marcus walked past him, shoving him as he did, and sat down again.
Austin didn't seem to notice the fighting, and just kept reading out loud a page of notes he had typed up on his laptop, about The Dancer, or as him and Madison had discovered yesterday, Ceth Darne. Madison didn't know what to do, or how to stop it. They didn't seem as though they would ever stop fighting.
"So, what should we do now?" Austin asked, looking up from his laptop, "Madison believes we should tell the police."
Marcus threw his hands in the air, "I honestly don't give a shit what happens anymore."
"Speak for yourself." Tyler sat down next to Madison, "I say we tell the cops."
Sebastian nodded in agreement, "The cop gave us her card for a reason."
Madison pulled her phone out and Officer Keenan's card. Marcus, Sebastian and Austin started talking amongst themselves.
"Can I see your phone?" Tyler asked, and Madison handed it to him. He pulled out his own phone and added her number to his phone, under the contact name, My Twin Kissed Her.
Madison almost laughed, "You're still holding that against me?"
Tyler smiled, "Sorry about earlier. I get pissed, realise I'm an asshole, and end up apologising."
He handed her back her phone. She didn't want to ask for his number, and she doubted they'd ever need to call each other.
"Do you ever change your number?" Tyler asked.
Madison shook her head, "Haven't changed it for three years now."
Tyler nodded slowly and then Austin interrupted their conversation, "Madison, call Keenan. Tell them what we've found."
She typed the number in, but didn't press dial, "You all sure?"
They nodded. For once, they didn't argue.
She hit dial.
*** Author's Note ***
Almost there! Can't wait till it's completed! Remember to vote, any feedback is appreciated, and I hope you all enjoy it.
People have been asking me when I update, and my answer to that is whenever I have the time. I might be doing two chapters a night for this book, because I just really want to complete it.
Then I can move onto my next work, Precisely Seventeen & Three Quarters. Hopefully once that's done, I'll finish off Our Bucket List, which some of you might remember. I had to put it on hold because I was writing this novel instead.
Thank you for the love and support.
