Chapter 9

When I woke up Alex was gone, just as he said. There was a small part of me that hoped he wouldn't go, but I knew he had to. He left me out one of his shirts and a note that said: "Wish I could have stayed babe, fuck I wish I could! Jack will drop you home when you're ready. I'll ring you tonight, keep tomorrow night free for a club opening. Love you too much as always, Alex xxx". I pulled on his shirt, my skinnies and Converse and headed out of his room. Jack dropped me home after insisting on making me breakfast, he was so cute! I walked in the door of our apartment to see Hannah sitting cross-legged on the counter top eating Belvita Breakfast Biscuits, milk and cereal of course, and drinking straight from the two litre bottle of Coke.

"Hey bitch." I smiled at my best friend who refused to wear anything that weren't pyjama pants to bed and had them rolled up to her mid thigh.

"Hey." she said blandly.

"What's up?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well, I used to have this best friend, Sophie, awesome girl, but then she got a superstar boyfriend so I never saw her anymore, so I got a job to occupy myself. Then of course with the little time I saw her every week, she also decided to get a job that just happened to give her the opposite shift to mine!" Hannah said sarcastically taking a swig of Coke from the bottle. I stared at her in disbelief, this is what I came home to. Honestly I didn't know she felt this way, but when I thought about it, we hadn't hung out in ages.

"Oh my God Hannah, I had no idea you felt this way, how about I make it up to you and we go for- Fuck I have work at half one!" I looked at the floor and back up at her. She looked at me with sad eyes

"And I'm working nights, see what I mean!" she banged her fist on the counter top and smashed her biscuits. She frowned angrily at them before looking back up at me.

"Listen, Alex invited me to a club opening tomorrow night, could you come?" I begged.

"Trust me, I'd die to, but I'm working nights all this week!" she moaned.

"Maybe ask for it off? Come on Hannah, I miss you too!" I walked towards her and hugged her and she hugged me back

"I'll try my best." she smiled. Really thats all I wanted to hear.

Since getting a job I'd also managed to make friends, Sarah and Celine. They were both into the type of music I liked and honestly they were just genuinely nice people. When Alex and I decided to start dating, he left it up to me to decide would we go public or not. I told him I didn't want to go public for a while but alot of people knew, well people we trusted. Sarah and Celine were two people I trusted and I'd told them about my relationship with Alex. The night before when Alex rang me he told me I could invite as many people as I wanted to the opening. Me being a socially awkward person and having one best friend, two close friends and my other friends from the band, three was enough for me. Hannah managed to get the night off and the two girls were delighted to come along.

"Are there going to be other celebrates here?" Sarah asked putting eyeliner on in my bathroom mirror.

"Haha more? If I even got to meet All Time Low, that'd be good enough for me! Especially Rian, he's gorgeous." Celine smiled daydreaming, lying on my bed.

"Well I for one am just going out for a fun night with my girls!" Hannah smiled fixing her dress. It was weird to see my best friend in a dress, then again it was weird to see her in anything but skinnies and Converse.

"Agreed!" Sarah chimed in "I can't believe that Alex Gaskarth is your boyfriend Sophie!"

"Haha neither can I at times Sarah" I winked.

"Well I'm ready." Hannah smiled.

"Me too!" Celine jumped off the bed from her daydream.

"Okay bitches, let's get this night started!" I shouted and the girls cheered and we all burst into laughter.

The atmosphere inside the club was amazing. All Time Low sounded absolutely amazing! Sarah was right, there was lots of other celebraties here! I'd seen everyone from Patrick Stump to Danny Worsnop.

"Come on Sophie let's dance!" Hannah dragged me out to the dance floor, ironically the band were playing "I Feel Like Dancin". I looked up at them and caught Alex's eye and he winked at me. He was so adorable. I started singing along to the song like some other people and danced with Hannah for once just not caring what the world thought of me. We looked like idiots screaming the lyrics "I feel like dancin' tonight, I'm gonna party like it's my civil right!"into each others faces, but no one seemed to care and we're dancing along.

"I'd like to dedicate this next song to a certain girl I love, I know it's her favourite so enjoy this babe!" Alex shouted into the microphone and everyone cheered. Sarah and Celine had gone to get drinks when they came in but had both come running and screaming over to me fangirling on how her was dedicating this song to me.

"Soooooooooooophie!!! They're playing this song for you!" Sarah screamed.

"Oh my God, I wonder what song it is! I'm jealous bitch!" Celine winked. Suddenly they started to play "Lost in Stereo" and we all started to freak out and dance insanely together. I remembered when Hannah and I used to dance to this in our bedroom, hoping no one would see us from my window but now we honestly didn't give a shit because we were having the time of our lives. "She's dancing alone, I'm ready to go but she's so lost in stereo lost in stereo!". I had a feeling I'd have no voice by the end of the night again.

"I've missed spending time with you so much!" Hannah hugged me, she was drunk but I knew she meant it.

"Everybody give it up for All Time Loooow!" the club owner shouted into the mic.

"Oh my God they're finished! I'm going up to flirt wit Rian!" Celine squealed and I laughed. No matter how many times I'd told her he had a girlfriend, she didn't seem to care. It made me wonder where Sarah was. I got up and walked around. Then I saw her, she was making out with some dude. As I got closer I realised it was Pete Wentz. Oh my fuck! She seemed to pull away for a second and saw me, she waved her hand frantically for me to come over.

"Sophie, this is Pete Wentz!" she seemed proud of herself. If I wasn't with Alex, I would have been so jealous! Pete Wentz was one of my favourites and inside I was fangirling all over again.

"Hey!" he smiled and held out his hand for me to shake it.

"I'm a huge fan!" I smiled nervously my hand shook as he kissed my hand.

"Hey stay away from her, she's mine!" Alex said jokingly as he came up behind me and hugged me from behind.

"This is your girlfriend, Gaskarth? Nice one bud! This is Sarah." Pete smiled looking quite pleased with himself that he'd gotten a girl 10 years younger than him.

"Hey Alex, I'm Sophie's friend." Sarah smiled.

"Haha hey Sarah, nice to meet you! Hey Sophie wanna get a drink?" Alex asked. I nodded and we said goodbye to Pete and Sarah to walk over to a table where my best friend was being chatted up by Brendon Urie.

"Did you get all your friends famous boyfriends?" Alex laughed and pointed at Celine, who'd given up on Rian and settled for Zack. I laughed with him.

"I'm glad we got to spend more time together." I smiled at him.

"Trust me, me too." he smiled back then ordered our two beers. That really was the best thing I had heard in a long time.
