The brothers woke up very early in the morning
ready to get started on their journey
Elder kettle was asleep so mugman left him a note saying "we're going out, but we will be back soon xx" though it was kinda hard as his brother kept tugging his arm in impatience, it was a surprise that it didn't dislocate
on their journey they went past the root patch gang meo Tato ( they called him, just tato), weepy and psycarrot ( they just called him psy)
they didn't transform so they walked on
gloopy did not transform either
then they had to enter Hilda's home of clouds
"looks like we might need to use the aeroplanes again"mugman stated
"seems so"cuphead said as he got a blue and red plane ready
in a few minutes, they were up and away
it was only when they were mid-level that clouds began to crowd them
and a blinding light that was heading straight to them
"heads up cuphead" mugman shouted, pulling his plane away from the light
luckily cuphead was able to move away from the sudden lightning bolt
"Thanks, mugman" shouted cuphead
more lightning bolts, stars and clouds came
which mugman and cuphead dodged every single blow, until they were at Hilda's main cloud where she spent most of her time, they could tell she was inside because it was the only cloud that wasn't ready to attack, more defensive of what it was carrying inside
" Hilda? " asked mugman
he was about to touch the cloud, but that was before a massive yell came from it
" GO AWAY"
it was obviously Hilda's, but it seemed more childish and a little less raspy than her usual voice
" Hilda come out, we know what happened to you" stated cuphead as he crossed his arms
( in truth he did know what happened, but he didn't know exactly what she looked like)
there was silence
"Hilda, please come out, we know how to help" mugman calmly said in a soothing voice
there was some more silence until the cloud started to move, and cuphead and mugman could finally see what she looked like
it was a very thin little girl with pigtails, a small red dress, a smaller but still pointed nose, red flats ( shoes), a curly fringe and big blue eyes, including her weathervane hat
"oh, m, my" snickered mugman, trying to be polite, but the smaller version of Hilda was just too funny
"SHUT UP" Hilda shouted frustrated and embarrassed
but her voice was so high pitch that the brothers couldn't help it
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" they shrieked with tears in their eyes
red from embarrassment she pointed to a cloud which then shot a lightning bolt at both of them
"OW" they yelled from the pain
even though they had to look down to meet her eyes, she still had the full force of her powers
(the brother's powers weakened since they were not needed anymore, but still there)
"sorry Hilda" apologise for mugman while he was catching his breath and getting his brother off the floor by his handle
"whatever" humphed Hilda
" so do you know why this happened, because you knew what happened before you even saw me" she continued
"heh..no..no Idea..we just had a call from a.a..random shadow person and told us what happened to you..yeah" lied cuphead
mugman face palmed himself
"o.k..but has anyone else...turned?" asked Hilda, still confused
" were going to check now," said mugman while putting a hand over his brother's mouth
"ok..bye," Hilda said as she tried to escape on her cloud
only that cuphead and mugman quickly grabbed it to stop her
( SCREW LOGIC )
"no we can't leave you here," mugman said worriedly
"just because I de-aged doesn't mean that my mind decreased too" argued Hilda
" but you still could, we still don't know what the potio.. I MEAN the shadow guy..thing did, it could decrease your mind as well, it might just take more time" cuphead said trying to sound convincing
it took a long silent pause until Hilda said
"FINE, but no treating me like a child YOU GOT IT" Hilda agreed
" deal" agreed cuphead with a massive sigh of relief
getting back into their planes they returned to the earth's floor, but Hilda refused to come out of her cloud
" Hilda" asked mugman
"I'll stay on my cloud until we are out of the open, it'll make me look normal," Hilda said embarrassed
the brothers knew that she was lying, the real reason they suspected was that she wasn't sure if she could still walk (she looked about 2-3 years old)
" let's go then" cuphead said as he walked off
" wonder if it's just me," Hilda said said sadly
" I HIGHLY doubt it," said mugman with a smile upon his face
" sky jokes now, REALLY" accused Hilda
" meh" shrugged mugman
