"ok, we've seen everyone in ink well isle so we must be done...right ?" mugman said with a hopeful cheerful cheer
"well...not everyone actually," said cuphead looking at the place where their story had begun
"NO!" shouted mugman, spilling Cala Marias temporary water bowl
"hey!" she shouted with surprise
"sorry" mugman apologized
"but...the devil and king dice were at the party...so it is possible" cuphead tried to reason with his brother
tense silence
"ok, how about you take care of Cala, Werner and spectre while I check it out," cuphead said
he gave the gloves to the mugman while still having a grip on the baby ghost in case he ran off, mugman had to put Cala maria on the floor so he was able to hold spectre in both arms, which was a little bit of a struggle as he tried to wriggle free (no luck) and Werner was placed next to Cala on the floor, not minding one bit as he prefered the ground to the air anyway
"Just wait for me I won't be long," said cuphead as he was about to go through the casino of HELL
"CUPHEAD " yelled mugman
"yes mugs," asked cuphead with a little bit of annoyance
"Just...be safe" sighed mugman
"don't worry, I will" reassured cuphead
and with that cuphead went into the casino
shutting the doors behind him
(inside the casino)
as cuphead walked into the casino he noticed that something was wrong
the staff of the casino were nowhere in sight
all eleven of them
thirteen if you included king dice and the devil
cuphead continued through the lobby, the stage, the bar and..the cursed table
where he and his brother gambled away their souls for money
an easy bet
a stupid bet
they lost
making them betray their friends and putting everyone's lives in danger
how cuphead loathed this place
but now was not the time
he carried on past the lobby
he was close to the devil's headquarters when he heard a familiar bellow
"DICE!"

cuphead opened the door and sneakily walked through
there stood every staff member of the casino

the tipsy troop ( Mr vodka, Mr beer and Mrs wine )

and finally the devil himself
only one figure was not present
