Emily's P.O.V

"Why are you in my seat?"

A tall dark haired boy stood in front of me, he had piercing green eyes and a chiselled face. He towered over me while staring intensely into my eyes, he looked pissed and I didn't want to get on anyone's bad side on my first day.

"Oh s-sorry I'll move" I stuttered as I quickly moved as far away as possible. I hate it when I stutter, it makes me look scared and weak. As I sat down I noticed a group of girls laughing and looking back at me occasionally. Of course I didn't know for sure if they were laughing at me, but I had a pretty decent idea, so I just tried to block them out.

Soon the teacher walked in and asked everyone to settle down. He was tall and slender, with auburn hair and big geeky classes that seemed to be in right now. I was silently praying that he wouldn't announce that I was new, but of course with my luck, he was introducing me to the class the second he finished the daily announcements.

"Students we have someone new joining us today. Her name is Emily and she has moved here all the way from Australia so please make her feel welcome."

I looked down as I felt like everyone was watching me. I'm a really shy person if you haven't already noticed and it hate it when a lot if people are staring at me. I heard a few people whisper amongst themselves, not exactly helping my situation, but it eventually died out.

As the lesson progressed, people continued to give me weird looks while talking to each other and it made me kinda nervous. At one point, the dark haired boy who's name I didn't know, though I had a few ideas, threw a paper ball at me and hit me in the head. His friends started cracking up laughing, I didn't see how throwing a wad of crumpled paper at someone was so comical.

"Justin! that's one warning, next time it's a detention."

"Yeah, whatever"

Oh hey the dark haired douchebag has a name. He gave me an awful look before turning back to his friends. Lucky he can't hear my thoughts. Finally the bell rang and I quickly grabbed my stuff and headed out. As I approached the door I felt my foot catch on something and the floor rushed up to meet me. Cold hard floor boards were soon giving me the ultimate facial massage, not one I'd recommend. While trying to stand up I instantly heard everyone laughing at me.

"Look at the new girl, she can't even walk. How pathetic"

"She tripped over her own feet what a clutz"

I didn't wanna hear anymore comments so I quickly picked up my books and walked hastily out of the room, careful not to trip again.
