"If x equals the square root of 76 and y equals 2/4 of x..."Algebra. What a pointless class.When in life am I going to need to know the square root of 76 I wondered. I was having trouble concentrating on what my maths teacher was saying as all that I could think about was why Iziah had not turned up to class. Thoughts, both positive and negative, filled my mind as I desperately tried to figure it out. It wasn't until I was being tapped on the shoulder that I realized the teacher had called upon me to answer a question.
I quietly stood and faced the class. Ms Greene asked me if i knew the answer. I shyly looked back at my classmates as they stared at me unpleasantly, I quietly said that I didn't know only to be greeted by hurtful comments about how stupid I was. That's funny I thought, only yesterday they were calling me a nerd..
I sat back down and continued thinking.
Unknowns P.O.V
(in the morning before 1st class)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I watched as he grabbed the new kid by the arm and lead him further down the hall. The new kid was slightly struggling but strangely not fighting back. I'm not gonna lie it looked like he could easily get away, so I had no idea as to why he hadn't.
Confused, I decided to follow them to see what was happening. I new what this guy was capable of and I didn't think that the new guy should have to put up with that.
From a distance I followed them with caution. I hadn't the slightest Idea of where they were going and why they were going there. They soon came to a stop at a old rusty door, what I'm assuming to be the door that leads to the school basement.
Before he opened the door he looked around to make sure no one was there, so I quickly ducked behind a rubbish bin to avoid being seen. Satisfied, he opened the door and dragged the poor guy down with him.
I quickly left my hiding spot and ran to the door, catching it before it closed. I tiptoed down the staircase cautiously, listening for any signs of the boys.
"I warned you, I said stay away from Emily and what do you do? *scoffs* you go and walk her to school, all lovey dovey, thinking I wouldn't notice.."
Emily. That's the girl that everyone's mean to, I've rarely seen her but from what I've seen shes a lost lonely girl. Maybe next time I see her I should say hi or something. Deciding to talk to her next time I got the chance, I went back to listening to their conversation.
"I'm not abandoning her Justin. I'm not a heartless pig like you, and I happen to like her, she is so sweet and funny and you and your stupid friends just knock her down for fun?! why the fuck do you think that is okay?"
"She deserves what she gets, and now, since you refuse to leave her, you are in need of some physical therapy as I like to call it." he said with an evil stare. I knew what he meant by that. I've seen what hes done to other people for not listening to him, and let me tell you, it ain't a pretty sight.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a metal object. It glistened under the little light that was illuminating the room. This was gonna hurt. He slipped the metallic object over his fingers and held his hand to the light. He seemed quite happy with what he was about to do.
In one quick movement he turned and hit the poor guy in the jaw. Bruises seemed to instantly appear. He struck him again, the cheek this time, he hit him so hard that blood started to slip from his mouth. He turned and inspected his hand and the hard metal object once more. He grinned evilly to himself before quickly turning and hitting him in the stomach.
I had to cover my mouth to stop myself from screaming. how could someone be so cruel? I knew he was going to come to the stairs any second to leave, so I quickly slipped through the railing, quietly ducking underneath the cold dusty stairway.
"This is what happens when you don't do what I say.' he said so calmly I thought it to be insane. how can someone be so calm after carrying out such a hideous task. He slowly walked up the stairs, them creaking slightly in the process. once i heard the door shut i left my hiding place to tend to the poor beaten boy, lying on the ground in pain.
