Jason Todd is the son of Willis and Cathrine Todd, who later became an orphan when his father died in prison and his mother died in his arms after overdosing.

After loving on the streets for so many years, fending for himself, Jason was confronted by Batman while trying to steal the tires off of the Batmobile. This lead to him getting adopted by Bruce Wayne.

Soon after being taken in by the well-known play boy of Gotham City, Jason found out that Bruce was the city's vigilante, which lead to Jason becoming ROBIN.

Soon into his career as Robin, Jason was taken by the Joker, only to be beaten and brutally tortured, before being killed in an explosion.

Now, Jason is RED HOOD, a kick ass vigilante who isn't good nor evil. He's merciless for the majority of the time as his alter-ego, but the guy under the mask just wants to be loved.
