Ow. My nose feels runny like I'm sick or sneezed too hard.

But there's a soft throb to it.

"Morning," Clover's there. Off to my right with a smile and tired eyes, "Water?"

"Yes please." I'm in a very uncomfortable cot. Wait a second. I carefully move my jaw then touch it, "How can I talk? I got punched in the jaw," I gladly take the water Clover carefully gives me.

He fixes his seat so he can face me, "You can thank some of Clouse's magic for that," He rubs his eyes, "And for a little bit of your broken nose. At least now you won't have a snoring problem."

"Yeah," I slurp my water down to the last drop, "I'm just back here. On this stupid island. With a father who doesn't bat an eye to kick me in the face. But yeah, at least I won't have to worry about snoring when I sleep."

"Ok, are you sure you don't need another hour to snooze? You seem a little cranky," Clover holds his index fingers and thumb millimeters apart.

"I'm fine." My hands gravitate to the bandage on my face. "How long was I out?"

"A few hours. But it was also night and you have jet leg," Clover takes my glass and refills it from a nearby water dispenser, "So a few hours turned into all night."

My stomach growls, "Of course I get knocked out right before dinner."

As if by magic, Clover points to protein bar and an orange on my nightstand, "It's all I could nap that wasn't fast food or a fortune cookie," He sets my water down, "Can I come in? That chair is awful."

I give him what little room I can and this tiny cot, "Ok but stay on top of the covers."

"Fine," He lays next to me, he passes me my food then folds his arms, "Let me use my mind reading skills real quick," he touches his temples, "You're wondering why I wasn't there for your 'welcoming' party. Or got to warn you about Das. Or really been there for you in the past day and a half."

"Eh," I pretty much swallow my protein bar whole then start peeling the orange, "Something like that," I pause, pull my gloves off then manage to pull the outside skin off, "But seriously, you suck as a spy and a guardian right now."

"I won't deny that."

I pop an orange slice into my mouth, the sour flavor spreading in my mouth. I watch as Clover takes a sip of my water, "Hey, that's mine."

He stops, set the glass down and gives his signature,'oh really,' look, "You know, I said those exact words when I found out that you ate my Aunt's spaghetti."

"So?" I smirk a little. I was starving ok? And was running late for a date with Das. One which I still regret to this day.

"It was in my hands."

"Ahh, but I licked it first. And he who licked it gets it."

"You're a girl. Not a he." He chuckles warmly, "Not to mention that you got to live in my apartment, get no job whatsoever and I drove you everywhere," He lifts up the glass of water, "I think at the very least I deserve a glass of water."

"Fine." My smile fades. I let him drink as I chew another orange slice, "So why have you gone A-wall 'till now?"

"Well, you're not gonna believe who I found on the island. Or a little off the island I guess." Clover sets the cup down, "It's-"

"My mom?"

He looks shocked. "H-how did you know?"

"I kinda ran into her when I made my 'escort' pilot crash land," I head into the story. I finish off my orange as I play with the peels a little, "I'm quite the troublemaker when you're not around."
