{Location: The docks in New Ninjago city}(Skylor's POV)[Months later]

"Yes," I pace back and forth on the dock with a walkie-talkie in front of my hand, "I'm at the dock."

On Father's end, the walkie-talkie cracks with loud static, "Anyone there yet?"

"No." I put my hands on my hips. "The last of the invitations are still being sent out."

Father hums as I picture him grooming his goatee, "Let's see, they are coming to my island willingly, where all my men are and I have a powerful relic that can take their powers. But I feel like I need something else."

Like what? A Puppy? A life? Mabey a daughter who actually loves you. You're planning to take over Ninjago through a very complex spell involving turning your followers into snake people. What else could you possibly want or need?

I stuff all my rebellious thoughts and feelings deep down inside of me. I even keep myself from rolling my eyes, "What would that be?"

"A spy!" He screechs into my ear. "The last time I dealt with the elemental masters of Ninjago, I got a stupid spy, your mother," he growls before going back to his happy but still a nut voice, "I'd love to turn the tables this time."

"And you want me to spy on the ninja and elemental fighters."

"Well duh." He says like I'm an idiot, "You were an actress in college. Use your skills to make them think you're like them. That you belong with a group of heroes. But know that at the end of the day, you're my daughter first and an elemental master second."

"I will, father." I sit on the edge of the dock as I see someone coming out of the corner of my eye. I get spy on people like me. I never thought I'd be following my mother's example after she's gone. I straighten up as I pull on my hood, "I have to go. They're arriving."

"Good luck." Father clicks off as I gently toss the walkie-talkie into the sea.

I swing my feet and look down at the murky water. Planning a backstory of why I'm here. I can probably get away with my actual name and powers.

But in this tournament, I am Skylor Kin. Master of Amber. My friends were kidnapped and I need to save them.

Yeah, that'll work.

"Psst," a girl with bright green hair taps my back with her foot, "Is this where the ferry's gonna be?"

"There're lots of ferries going in lots of different directions." I decided on keeping a cold and quite natural. A little opposite of my personality but I think it works.

"Haha," she loudly drops her bag, "But seriously. Did you get a fortune cookie too?"

"Yeah. This is the spot." I get up, leave my hood up, "I'm Skylor."

The green haired girl holds out her hand, "Toxica," she reaches for mine to shake.

I feel sick and sluggish as a familiar surge of power charges my veins.

Toxica smirks, "Master of Poison."

Ok, that makes sense. I nod as my body works hard to absorb this power. So Ice and Poison. What a fun combo. I nod while half covering my mouth.

She rolls her eyes while folding her arms, "Oh please. I didn't even use my power." She leaves me alone after that. More elemental master appears, asking if this is the spot. Then huddling in small groups to talk or standing alone. I slowly and shyly make my way around. Carefully touching them then reeling from their power.

I mostly stay near the front. Sorta reflecting over the last few months.

I should really call Clover and Sam again. Gah, I can't. My father's spies are everywhere. And I can't endanger them. I watch the fire on the torches nearby, watching the fire gently dance.
