{Location: The medical center}(Skylor's POV)

I feel like I'm trying to swallow a rock. Zack has been in the medical center for 12 hours now. And apparently, he's stupidly popular with how many idiots are blocking my way into apologies. I tap my foot as two guys come out.

"Oh yeah, Skylor," Xander snickers as Tony tries to look scary despite being smaller than me, "On your way to see, Zack?"

Tony snickers like they planed whatever kind of stupid joke this is, "I don't think he'll want to SEE you." He then leans in and loudly whispers, "And he's a bit of an eyesore now."

Hurray. I maimed a person. I feel so much better now. I bite my tongue on my salty remark. "I'm here to apologize." I think back to round 1. That was self-defense. Right? I mean, I never planned on doing that. That's what my father resorts to. But what if that how he started out? That once an upon a time it was self-defense, "I never meant to hurt him."

Tony huffs, "Ok. Just so ya know, don't mention anything about yesterday."

Xander nods as they walkway, "Yeah, that'll making think of his injury and then who caused it. Oh, wait."

They snicker like grade-A idiots.

I wait, not exactly eager to pay my respects.

I keep my gaze down as the other dingbats give insult to injury.

As the crowd grows thinner the dirt in front of my feet moves. Forming words? 'Skylor, it's not like that. Deep down, you know you're nothing like Chen.'

Mom? What the heck? Are you using the power of mind?

'And the power of earth to talk to you. Glance to your right,' I do as the dirt commands and spot a flash of rag running to hide in a tree, 'I know this kind of events are frustrating and give you so, so much self-doubt. But trust me, no one is like Chen. Except for Clouse. He always has sucked.'

'Yeah, only in the moment when I had a clear shot to not hurt someone, I did.' I kick the dirt.

'So what if the next time you're in a pinch, I'll be there.'

Really?

'Well, not really. Chen mustn't know I'm out. But I can do just what we're doing right now in the next round.'

Better then nothing I guess.

"Hey!" The medic, who's an incredibly buff man with a serious tan problem and a small search for a shirt, waves me over, "I'm closing up shop soon. If you want to talk to him, you've got 6 minutes."

Bye. I shuffle over the dirt words as Mom disappears. Once inside the hut, which is spotless minus the sink of used supplies, there are a few beds. The furthest one from me holds Zack. I make my steps loud so I don't startle him, "Before you get mad and bite my head off. Just know, I am so sorry. I never meant to take it that far."

Zack sits up, keeping his face away from me and starts chuckling, "Oh please. You're bloody related to Master Chen. At the least meaning is in your blood." He gets up while still facing the wall, "I expected something like this from his one kid."

"So.." I hold my hands behind my back, maybe I was over exaggerating this, "I guess I wasn't that back of an injury."

"Oh no," He turns around while lifting up a makeshift eye patch. Oh gosh... His right eye is completely scared over and white. His cheek is covered in a bloody gauze which leads up to his forehead. Holy crap.....I did that? Zack leaves it up as he stands taller than me, staring that thing into my soul, "I can never see out of my right eye again."
