BACK TO MUMBAI

gauri went home and saw her parents upset.They were completely devastated with neil's decision and they were trying to console her.she shrugged it and told them she was completely fine.Her phone ringed it was her MD.

"gauri I need you to leave for mumbai in two days."

"but sir why"

"we have signed with oberoi Industries you will be staying there Two months representing our company  .I hope you will accept the offer. the oberois were completely impressed by you and I want you to go there and make us proud."

"I will call you back sir"

In normal situations her parents would have disagreed but now she could use her broken marriage as an excuse .She had not thought of going back to Mumbai .But this was a golden opportunity to improve herself and her professional life needed this huge break she can't let it go because of her personal reasons.

Her phone rung again it was anika she went alone to talk .(since we all know we can talk with our boyfriend in front of parents but not our best friend because she will make sure we swear ,use bad words a hundred times within 5 minutes).

"ri guess what"

"what"

"pack your bags head to mumbai you have two days"

gauri checked her mobile it was annika

"my MD said the same"

"why"

"a new project 2 months in mumbai"

"so there will be  no need for you take leave for long"

"why"

"stupid your bestie is getting married next week you have to attend all the rituals."

"WHY? WHAT? SO SOON "

"some good date it is to get married the astrologer said"

"superrrrr. stupid i am happy for you"

"thanks. you better come .If you don't come I will not get married and what happened on your date with om"

"that's not a date" gauri said and told her everything

"you are a born stupid .Tell me .be honest. Did you sell your brain?"

"what? you are a foodie you sold your brain for buying golgappe"

"did you scold me? that was funny"

"what shall I do with you.I know I told you to forgot om  because remembering him would mean breaking your parent's trust and your happiness is in your parents.but now you should have given him a second chance."

"first he is giving me a second chance but he is not a backup plan"

"whatever .you have lost it and ask uncle and aunty to come for my wedding"

"i don't know I will ask"

"bye call me soon informing me about your arrival"

gauri informed her parents and to her surprise they agreed easily. gauri thanked her broken marriage .they told her they couldn't attend anika's marriage since they couldn't get leave from their work.gauri called her Md and accepted the offer.He told her that It would be like a vacation since she will just have to attend oberoi workshop whenever it is held which she will be informed of and other time she can be free and she was offered a private guest house.

gauri felt very happy since she was representing her whole industry to the oberoi .Her parents were also proud of her.gauri informed anika of her arrival.

Om was sketching in his drawing book thinking about gauri when his phone rang .It was shivaay.

"Om you will have to come to mumbai"

"what happened"

"my marriage is preponed and i didn't talk to badi maa yet"

"when is marriage "

"next week"

"I will be there and we three will together talk to mom"

"ok and om day after tomorrow anika is coming .you and rudy can meet her."

"rudy hasn't met her yet ?"

"no he says he will meet her along with you."

"fine"

"but he has met her sister ACP bhavya and is head over heels for her" 

om laughed and said"I hope it lasts forever"

"it seems that kind of only"

"but any reason why anika is coming day after tomorrow ?"

"one because she wants to meet you .Two she has her bestie coming  the next day after meeting you and she wants to devote her whole time for her whom she will be meeting after many years"

"fine I will be there bye shivaay"

Om thought what if anika bhabhi is the same anika who was her bestie.Both anika's are doctors.Bhabhi is meeting her friend after years what if it was her.He saw his  sketchbook  which had a half completed picture of gauri laughing .Om laughed .You have gone mad om relating everything with her.Thinking about her all time.

What a day It was om and gauri thought at the same time.
