3rd person
The group of agents, including Agent Carter and the remaining Howling Commandos stood outside the last hydra base.
Well, what remained of it anyway. All that was left were destroyed columns and piles of ash littered their surroundings.
The stench of death filled the air and everything felt...off and uneasy.
"Who would do such a thing?" The Colonel asked, bending down and fingering the ash.
A look of realisation crossed Peggy's face as she realised that there was one person who had left a dagger in the map on the exact point of the location.
"Freya"

Freya's POV
I was waiting in the dark at one of Howard's ridiculously expensive tables in his house. For a normal person, his house would be gigantic, enormous really, but living as a princess showed me that the palaces in all of the realms are far greater than this.
I had lost everything, everything but Peggy and Howard. And even then, I am not that close to them.
The front door finally cracked open, revealing the voices of Howard and Peggy.
"You know she's more powerful than anything we've ever come across in this world."
Howard's sigh was very audible before he continued, "Yeah but no one's got any ideas on where she is right now."
He walked into the room I was in and flicked his jacket off onto the table besides me.
Turning the light on he turned around and let out a girlish shriek at seeing my tear stained face in his house.
"Howard?" Peggy yelled, appearing in the doorway with her gun pointed directly at me.
She lowered her gun at the sight of mu dishevelled face and walked straight over pulling me into her arms, letting me sob over Steve and Bucky.
Drowning in my own tears, I try to forget everything. Steve...Bucky...Thor...
Loki...
3rd person (Asgard)
Loki strode into the bifrost where Heimdall was, as always.
Heimdall looked over at the young prince, not even needing to ask him what he requested.
"How does she fare gatekeeper?" he asks with a look of admiration in his eyes.
Heimdall sighed before letting the prince know what he wanted, even though he would not like anything that the gatekeeper had to offer.
"I'm afraid Freya isn't in the best position or headspace at the moment. She mourns, having lost the two closest people she found on Midgard. Maybe dead, maybe not, she will find out in time. She has just committed genocide if you will. For revenge, of course. I doubt she would do that willingly. She mourns every day. Ever since she had been cast out down there. She misses Thor, but most of all, she misses you. She longs to feel you, to talk to you. She longs to be with you more than anything."
Loki didn't know what to say, he was not expecting that at all. All he wanted was for Freya to be safe in his arms, living forever by his side.
"Please," he pleaded, "You have to let me go to her."
"I'm sorry my Prince, but I can do no such thing, I could let you go, however you must not be seen by her," Heimdall said, making an offer Loki surely wouldn't refuse.
"If I cover my identity with an illusion...will I then be able to visit her?" the prince pleaded.
"Yes. However you should know, by changing your looks, you still will not be able to give each other what you want."
Loki nodded slowly knowing that the only way he'd be able to visit Freya would have to be in disguise.
"When you're ready gatekeeper."
And with that, Loki was pulled into the bright colours of the bifrost.

Freya's PoV
Colonel Phillips had tried to get me to join the war to gain ultimate power for America, but there was no way I was going to join a petty mortal war.
Yes, I may be the Goddess of War, but I do not want to take part in the act that caused Steve and Bucky to die.
I was sitting in a patch of soft green grass in an empty park pulling up the grass with my fingers as thoughts ran through my head.
I do not even know if I want to stay in this place that the mortals call 'New York.' It's busy and noisy and holds too many memories, both good and bad.
"Um, excuse me?" A smooth voice said from behind me.
Turning around sharply, I notice he has soft brown curls, and deep green eyes that look so similar to Loki's.
Just the thought of Loki pulled at my heart...
"Yes..."
"Tom. But any way, I was just passing by and you look in need of some company right now."
"And what makes you think I'm in need of company?" I taunted giving a smirk right back at him.
His cheeks reddened slightly as he looked down towards his shoes.
"Well truth be told, I just think you looked lonely over here, and I can't stand to see an outstandingly beautiful woman all alone."
I smiled accepting the compliment, "Well thank you Tom."
He took a seat next to me in the green grass, the bright colour looking dull in comparison to his eyes.
Something felt familiar about being in his presence, there was just something about him that felt so similar to something I've felt before, but I can't place it.
He glanced at me and smiled, his eyes trailing down my arm and resting on my forearm where the mark of the Valkyrie sits.
"Wh-What does that mean?"
"Oh nothing, it's just a silly mark," I brushed off, "Now, where were we?"
~~~
I never saw Tom again after that day and I still can't shake off the familiar feeling about him...
Years had passed, more like decades. The years that had gone by held so much pain...Howard and his wife had died, leaving their only son to live alone, Peggy had been hospitalized and I had shut myself off from the world.
Going into hiding was an easier way to deal with the pain. I became reclusive and would have rather stayed under an illusion or charm when leaving the home that Howard had made for me.
And of course...the pain still felt so real whenever I thought about Kehlgard or Asgard or anything to do with those realms, but one day...I can feel a change is going to happen. For better or for worse, I don't know.
One day...
