I hadn't come in contact with another Asgardian since my banishment and I'm not sure if I ever would get the chance to see one again.
Stuttgart, Germany is where I was currently living. I had travelled to many parts of Midgard and could never find a place that felt right.
Brooklyn was too painful as all it did was bring up memories of Steve and Bucky.
And other places just didn't fit me or didn't suit my needs.
Naturally, I still carried my bag full of everything with me, well sort of. I had done a lot of reading and found out how to access the pocket dimension, and whenever I didn't need something but wanted to keep it for later, I could just flick my wrists and it was stored away.
There was an energy in the air, not of this world, not of any other world.
The tesseract
The powerful cube containing an infinity stone that has the ability to grant interdimensional travel. It gives off such a powerful amount of cosmic energy that I can feel it drawing me in.
It's messing with my mind and power. It pushes memories and visions into my head and like the tesseract is said to be capable of, it could be showing me of future or past events that may or may not happen.
As of late, the worst I've seen is a woman dressed in black with a flowing green cape slaughtering a whole army of female warriors riding of winged horses. That vision came to me in dreams and would make me wake up with a searing pain in my arm where the mark of the Valkyrie is.
Night quickly fell and my body was urging to leave the small house structure I had been living in for the past few months. I grabbed a coat and headed out of the door into the cold streets.
I still hadn't gotten used to all of this Midgardian culture, well most parts of Midgardian culture anyway. I may have been here for 70 years, but it's hard to grasp all of their strange customs and traditions.
Coming across a large museum, a gala full of dressed up people is taking place.
Who's to say I can't get in without invitation?
I feel my clothes shift as I conjure a ball gown dress and watch as it shimmers onto my body.
A long emerald green dress sits on my body, with a pair of black boots to match. Slowly walking in through the entrance, I warp the minds of the guards to let me through and luckily I did so unnoticed.
Walking through the gala, I see politicians and overdressed men and women trying to impress one another with their fancy jewellery and clothes.
Grabbing a glass off of one of the men serving drinks, I smell the bubbly pink liquid. I think this is what these mortals count as alcohol? I downed the whole glass in mere seconds, getting a few disgruntled looks from the people surrounding me.
It was not very strong. At all. Comparable to water actually, it's a wonder how mortals get drunk off of this.
Movement from a balcony above catches my attention and I notice an unruly mass of raven hair sitting upon the head of tall lean male. Something about his presence made me feel something I haven't felt in a long time.
He started making his way down the wide set of stairs, flipping his glowing can a few times before smacking a guard in the head with it with immense strength.
Everyone around me started screaming and rushing to the openings of the museum, as the dark haired man grabbed the host of the gala and flipped him onto a table. He pulled out a strange contraption and pushed it into the man's eye as he twisted in pain.
