"Thank you," I nod to Thor as I step into the lavish room. It was quite similar to my room back home in Kehlgard, although the colour scheme is quite odd. Orange and...green. Quite a surprising choice, orange which could be seen as my colour, and green, the younger of the Asgardian prince's colour.

"I will leave you now, Fair Lady Freya, but I shall return in search of you for tonight's meal," Thor smiled before leaving me in the room in silence.

Shutting the door as quietly as I could, I ventured into the room further. In the middle against the side, was a large bed covered in silk sheets, and to the side of that was a door that lead to the bathing quarters of the room. Opposite of the bed was a writing desk and a bookshelf filled to the brim with all sorts of books.

Reaching up to a higher shelf, I find a dark dust covered book. 'The History of The 9 Realms' the front cover read. Interesting, I think it's time for some light reading.

There were many chapters, but only a few caught my eyes.

'Kehlgard:

-The Beginning

-The Inhabitants

-The Royals

Sifting through the pages, I find the section about the royal family of my home realm.

'Queen Aliana and King Acasius, of Kehlgard, rose to power after the death of the former King's death (poisoned by a venom laced dagger). The Queen soon gave birth to a baby boy and the named him Atticus. Only a few years later, there was a war, Jotunheim and Muspelheim were working together to invade and overthrow the kingdom of Kehlgard. The Kehlgardians fought courageously alongside Asgardian armies lead by King Odin and came out successful. Kind Acasius found a young baby girl lying in a ring of fire, her dark brown hair seemingly lit by the flames. He decided to call her Freya and in his pity for her, decided to take her as his own. The Queen hated the new born girl and tried to get rid of her in many ways but none proved successful. On a fateful night, the two royal children, asleep in their beds in the tower of the castle came in harm's way. An intruder, one of the Queens suspected friends and ally made their way to the room where the sleeping children were. Trying to make sure he wasn't caught, he decided lighting the room on fire to let Freya burn was the best idea to win the Queen's favour. However, he did not know that young Atticus was sleeping in the room as well. The room burnt all night long, and when the King and Queen finally awoke to the smell of smoke, they went to the room, and found little Atticuss' skeleton surrounded by ash, but found small Freya crying at the sight around her...'

I didn't have to read anymore, I was so beyond angry that I wasn't even mad at my mother for trying to kill me many times. I was just...sad. Conjuring up a flame in my hand, I burnt the book, watching it turn to a crisp right in front of my eyes.

I knew that Aliana didn't like me but I didn't realise it was that bad. And what of a brother? They obviously failed to mention that to me, and he's been dead for almost a thousand years...because of me.

Before I knew it, I had tears dripping slowly down my face. My father, the only light in my life...gone, my supposed 'mother', off in Kehlgard probably plotting some way to kill me, and here I am, a newly crowned goddess that has no idea what to do with her life now.

I don't know how long I was sitting on the ground crying, but it had to have been a while because after a while, Thor came knocking.

"Lady Freya?" he asked, pushing the door open.

"Yes Thor?" I say finally shuffling towards the door while wiping my nose.

"Oh my. Freya, something upsets you, what is it?"
