I woke up to the sun beating in my eyes, I roll over to my clock and see 7:30AM "shit!" I'm gonna be late!!! Fucking alarm clock!" I yelled jumping out of bed. I ran so fast I didn't notice Bear, my black German Shepherd, sleeping at the foot of the bed, and I tripped over him knocking down a picture frame. I picked it up and wiped off the dust. It was me and my dad at my high school graduation. I was so excited to being able to work with him. "I miss you dad. If only you could see me now" I whispered to myself. Quickly realizing I was gonna be late I quickly threw on my uniform and ran out the door. I showed up at the office at 7:55AM. Just barely made it on time. I walked over to my desk noticing Hank wasn't here yet. "Of course" I sat down and opened up my files. "Hey there Maria." Gavin said trotting over to my desk, placing an elbow down so he was eye level with me. "What do you want Reed?" I said keeping my gaze on my work. "Saw you sitting in the corner during the bouquet toss, what was that about?" He questioned. "You're a detective. You can't figure it out?" I sneered. "Oh come on. Everyone gets married!" He exclaimed. "Sorry to disappoint you but if all guys are like you then I'll take my chances of staying single" I sneered again. "Ouch! That hurt!" He joked. "Hey, still coming over for dinner tonight?" He asked changing the mood to serious. "I'll think about it Gavin" I said. That's the first time I called him Gavin in a long time. His eyes widened when I said it. "I'll save a seat for you." He said walking away. I hated Gavin but I pretty much had to be nice to him considering he was Delilah's brother. Her dad still works at the station, we all thought he'd retire when his parter, my dad, was gone. But when Gavin and I graduated we both wanted to join the station like our dads, but I went into the Army first so I'm a higher rank then Gavin. 9:30AM now and Hank still hasn't showed, my gaze was still fixated on the flowchart I was creating, trying to link the deviant cases together. I was paying so much attention I didn't notice the new guy that walked in the office. My gaze slowly drifted from my computer to him. He was looking at every name plate until he finally started walking over to me. Damn. He's pretty cute. Maria!! Snap out of it! Work is more important. But still. Damn. He's hot. "Excuse me" he got my attention. "Are you Lieutenant Miller?" He asked. "Who's asking?" I said scanning him up and down. "I'm Connor, the Android sent by CyberLife." He said. Damnit. Cute but an Android. What are you talking about Maria! Stop it! "An Android? You don't look like any model I've seen" I said suspiciously. "I'm the RK800. I'm a prototype" he said tilting his head. I didn't notice the RK800 on his chest. Maybe I was to distracted by something else to see it? "Well Connor. What do you need?" I asked. "I've been assigned to the deviant files with you along with Lieutenant Anderson" he started. "But it seems he hasn't arrived" he said concerned. I laughed. His head titled in confusion. "An Android... hunting androids? Interesting" I said. "And that's funny?" He asked confused. "No I'm laughing because. Get used to it. Hank is almost never here before noon" I laughed turning back to my work. "Is there a desk I could use?" He asked looking around. "No ones using that one" I said pointing to the one next to mine. He sat down and began to search on his computer. "Lieutenant. What is it you're working on?" Connor asked his LED flashing yellow then back to blue. "A flow chart." I said keeping my gaze focused. He got up and stood behind me hovering over me go see my work. I must've been blushing. For an Android he was very warm and it felt safe as he stood there. "Ah. Maria, I see you've met the Android" Hank snorted. "The 'Android' does have a name you know?" I retorted. "Down girl. Don't get so defensive" Hank laughed. "Figured you'd dislike him as much as me. We both hate androids" he said sitting at his desk. I didn't look at Connor. I was afraid he'd now dislike me because of that information. "I don't hate them Hank. And you know it!" I snapped. "Whatever" he waved me away. Connor, in the meantime picked up a photograph off my desk. Scanning it. "Lieutenant Miller? Who is the man in this picture?" Connor asked. I had a long sigh. "My father" I said looking down. "What happened to him?" He asked concerned. "Dead" I said. Connor looked flustered. His LED flashed yellow fast and back to blue. "He was a highly decorated officer. Top of his class along with Hank and..... Captain Reed" Connor started stating all the information he was gathering from the photo. "Yep" I sighed. Connor turned away and sat back at his desk. Wasn't long before Justin walked over. "New info on an AX400 that assaulted a man last night. It's been spotted in the RavenDale district. Get moving" he said slapping a file on my desk. "Sounds like fun." I said and the three of us walked to my car.

Hope you enjoyed. Yes I have Captain Reed instead of Captain Fowler. I needed to fit him in somewhere. If you have suggestions please let me know!
