Hiya.
Another common thing is that there is almost always a disaster around every corner.
It's like Robbie wants to go to the store but he gets ROBBED or I dunno, HIT BY A CAR!
Now I get that disasters and/or accidents happen all the time, but don't ya think that's taking it to the extremes?
Oh, not to mention that most fanfics that aren't in the category of humor are EXACTLY like soap operas.
Ex. (Sorry I keep using victorious as an example... Y'know what? I'll give two examples and do Friends for the other XD)
"Robbie loves Cat but oh noes she loves a jerk the jerk hates Robbie and wants him dead Robbie gets hurt and Cat ends up with him but MEANWHILE Jade gets kidnapped by Sinjin and Tori Andre and Beck have to save her PS Trina dies at the end."
See, now EVEN if I had written that in complete sentences that is STILL pretty confusing lol.
Ex. (using Friends characters now just because)
"Phoebe and Mike are having problems with their marriage and he leaves her (oh NOOOOOO!) meanwhile Monica gets sick and Chandler has to take care of BOTH children (Ahhhhh!) MEANWHILE Ross and Rachel finally get married MEANWHILE STILL, Joey dumps whoever he was dating on the show "Joey", moves back home and falls in love with Phoebe BUT... CAN SHE LOVE AGAIN?! SPOILER- eventually."
....okay so maybe I've only read a tiny handful of stories THAT confusing I mainly did that for fun ;P
