I saw this prompt and I loved it so much and I just had to do it.
"Cas, shouldn't we wait for Sam and Dean?" You asked while you fiddled with a shotgun. You both were hunting a ghost.
"They said that we could go. It'll be fine, I will protect you."
You blushed while you loaded iron bullets into your gun.
Cas walked over towards the door and opened it. You could somewhat see, meaning that you didn't really need a flashlight.
"Cas, Sam and Dean could've gotten this. We could've stayed at the bunker and binge watch Doctor Who or something, but no, we had to come on this hunt."
"(Y/N), be quiet."
You grunted and followed Cas throughout the house.
"(Y/N), behind you!" Cas yelled.
You turned around and saw a ghost getting ready to attack you. You quickly fired the gun and hit it, sending it into a cloud of smoke.
"If I recall correctly, that person went missing and died in this house," Cas said. "Her body was never found."
You both looked at each other and sighed.
"The basement?" You asked in disappointment.
"The basement," he said in the same tone.
"Cas, we didn't bring any flashlights, and we can barely see. It's dark in there."
"Don't worry, I got this," he said proudly while stomping his feet. You looked down and saw his shoes lighting up.
"They're light up shoes. I heard that they were cool."
"Why are you like this?" You groaned.
You stayed close behind him as the two of you walked down to the basement, Cas' shoes lighting up every time.
"I can't believe you," you mumbled. "You don't bring a flashlight, but you wear light up shoes."
You heard footsteps run across the room. You turned around and aimed the gun.
"Cas, we need to burn. Now!" You yelled while aiming your gun at nothing.
Cas walked around and you heard something crunch. You saw a bone underneath purple light.
You saw Cas and the ghost behind him.
"Cas, move!" You yelled.
You shot at the ghost and it disappeared again.
"Come on Cas, let's bounce before we get killed."
"The bones-"
"Forget about the bones!" You yelled. "We can't stay here! We're going to get ourselves killed!"
He looked disappointed but he agreed. You both quickly ran out of the house, leaving the ghost to Sam and Dean.
