You didn't know what was happening. Your back was pressed against the cold concrete wall with nowhere to go. He grabbed your neck and lifted you up. Your hands clawed at his, trying to get him to let go, but he was strong.

"You're probably wondering where your little angel went?" He taunted with a pout. He tilted his head to reveal black veins running along his neck as he inhaled through his nose. "Cas is-he's gone. He's dead. We run the show now."

He gripped your neck tighter and you let out a choked breath before trying to kick him away, but nothing. This is where you died. This is where Castiel died. This is the end for everyone.

You sat up on the couch, gasping for the air you thought that you lost. You ran your fingers across your neck and swore that there were bruises there, but you knew that there weren't. The dusty smell of the stack of books beside you greeted you back into reality. You looked around and sighed, realizing that you were at Bobby's place. You got up and went to get some water. It just felt so real that your fingers absentmindedly ran across your neck again as you grabbed a cup from the cupboard. Your hand slipped, causing the glass to shatter as it hit the floor and soon enough Sam and Dean came running in, both holding their guns. You put your hands up and smiled nervously.

"Dammit, (Y/N), don't scare us like that," Dean groaned as he put his gun away.

"Sorry, I couldn't sleep. Can someone turn on the light, please?"

Sam turned on the light and you went to pick the glass up, but Sam also came to help you. "Everything ok?"

"Yeah," you sighed, "I'm worried about Cas. First, we find out that he's working with Crowley and then the whole Purgatory thing. I just-I just don't know."

"Listen, we're all worried about Cas, but he can work it out," Dean piped in, making you look at him and let out a heavy sigh.

"I had a dream about Cas and it wasn't Cas," you interrupted.

"Wasn't Cas?" Sam asked while you nodded as you picked up the remaining pieces of glass.

"Whatever it was, it using him as a vessel. There were black veins running up the neck and it referred to themselves in third person like there were multiple of them. If it wasn't just a nightmare then-" You shook your head to get the thought out of your head. It probably was just a silly nightmare, you hadn't had a vision for years.

"Alright, let's get you back to bed and we can try to figure it out in the morning, ok?" Dean said while watching you get up. You sliced your palm on the glass in your hand and watched the blood blossom over the glass. "We'll get him back."

~

You finally opened your eyes, lowering your arm from shielding yourself from the bright light. Dean and Bobby found a way to get the souls out of Castiel, but he didn't move from his spot on

the floor.

"Cas!" You cried while running over. "Oh God, please be ok. Please."

You heard him inhale as he looked at you. You breathed out a sigh of relief as Dean and Bobby helped him off the ground. Everyone glad that Castiel was still alive.

"(Y/N), I'm sorry," Cas apologized. "I'll make it up to you in any way I can. I didn't mean to hurt-"

"It's fine, Cas. I'm glad you're back. I missed you."

Cas looked at you with a smile but then he fell to the ground in pain.

"Cas?"

"Get back, they're too strong!" He yelled out, making you flinch back.

"Who is, Cas? What's wrong?"

"Leviathan."

His expression changed from a painful one to one of malice. You cowered back towards the wall, having nowhere to go. Bobby and Dean were unconscious, leaving you alone with him. He quickly cornered you and held you up by the neck, your hands were clawing at the other pair of hands, trying to free yourself.

"You're probably wondering where your little angel went?" He taunted with a pout. He tilted his head to reveal black veins running along his neck as he inhaled through his nose. "Cas is-he's gone. He's dead. We run the show now."

You heard Dean groan as he sat up, making the monster drop you and you let out a gasp and a cough.

"How many of you ass-clowns are in there?" Dean asked, "A hundred? More?"

You watched as black liquid began dripping from Castiel's head. "The vessel's going to explode," you pointed out.

"I personally wouldn't do anything too strenuous. You don't want to hurt someone who's important to someone else. In fact, I'd call it a day and head on home."

"We'll be back," Cas said as he began walking out.

You began to follow after him, but Dean quickly grabbed your arm. "There's no saving him."

"Just let me follow him, Dean, please."

"I'm not going to let you get yourself killed!" He hissed.

You took back your arm and followed the trail of black goo.

~

You watched as Cas walked towards a reservoir. Dean, Sam, and Bobby showed up just in case something happened to you. You all knew that you were all screwed now since you couldn't stop him. He quickly disappeared below the water and a whirlpool with black liquid appeared where he was. You choked back your tears as you saw his trench coat resurfaced.

Dean went to retrieve the trench coat as Sam let you cry on his chest. He was gone and there was nothing you could do now. There was nothing nobody could do.

"It's a little wet," Dean joked, trying to make you feel better as he handed you the coat. "Hopefully it can dry out."

"Hopefully," you told him while sniffing and wiping your tears away. "Thank you, Dean."

Dean gave you a soft smile while patting your shoulder. "Don't worry, we're gonna get him back. We always do."
