Starry Night Memories

You put the Impala in park and shut her off. You and Cas both got out of Dean's precious car. It was a pain in the ass just to convince him to let you drive, but you did.

"Why are we here?" Cas asked.

"Oh come on," you whined, "Just one night, please."

"Ok. If it's for you, then I don't mind."

You ran to your special tree. It was a beautiful weeping willow that you loved to climb as a child.

You found a nice branch high enough to see the night sky. You sat down and Cas followed behind you.

"(Y/N), I don't understand the point of this?"

"It's stargazing Cas, or we can talk about life, or maybe both. I'm not picky."

"It is rather pretty out here," he admitted.

"If I fall, you better catch me, got it?" You joked.

"(Y/N), I don't believe you'll fall."

You laughed, "Cas, it was a joke."

You looked up and stared at all of the tiny white dots that were in the universe. They were pretty like Cas admitted, but he thought that there was something prettier.

He always believed that his dad's creations were beautiful, but he was very fond of three humans, all of them were Winchesters, Sam, Dean, and you. Especially you.

"(Y/N), it's really late, I don't think we should stay out any longer than we need to."

"Cas, let's stay out as long as we like. Let Dean freak out over the Impala."

"That's not a good idea. You know how Dean is attached to that car."

You stayed silent as you continue watching the stars.

"You know Cas, Sam and Dean would sometimes come out with me when I was younger. Usually, it was after I had a nightmare, Dean would carry me up and Sam would follow behind," you said while smiling at the memory, "They would sing a crappy version of Hey Jude until I would fall asleep again."

"That was nice of them."

"Yeah, but that was simpler times when Dad was alive and all we worried about was when he was coming back to get us. Now we got to worry about what's going to get us and who's going to actually die first."

Cas didn't say anything, signaling you to keep going.

"Then I met Bobby, who took us in while Dad went hunting. He was the one who told me about the stars. While he played ball with Sam and Dean, he would take me out at night to watch them."

"Bobby seemed to treat all of you very well."

"Yeah, he did. I'm sorry, am I bothering you?"

"No," he said while smiling, "I'm interested to learn more about you."

"Alright. While Sam was at Stanford, I was working in a little roadside diner. I stopped hunting and decided to make a living for myself. It was a good year working alone until the two of them walked in. I, being the annoying sister, wanted to go with them, so I did. It was fine, really. It was a huge road trip, and I enjoyed it. Then when Dean almost died, things went downhill. It was me and Sam in the hospital room, Dad was nowhere near him. Then he died, then Sam, and then Dean. It was nuts, especially for me."

"I can imagine," Cas said while kicking his legs back and forth, gently.

"And then I met you, then my life was, I don't know, happier? Better? It was like it was when I got back to hunting. Sure, there were deaths, but I had someone to talk to, even when you weren't there."

"I helped you?"

You nodded. "Yep, you probably don't believe me though."

"No, I believe you. Do you have any other memories you want to share?"

"A few actually, if you don't mind," you admitted shyly.

"Go right ahead."

"Well this one time, when I was a freshman, I was in a school musical. Dad was on a hunt and I expected nobody to show up. Dean graduated and Sam was a junior at the time. Anyways, when it was my turn to come out on stage, I saw Sam and Dean, sitting in the first row, beaming proudly at me. It makes me emotional sometimes because now I know that sometimes my brothers are the only true family I have left.

Then, when I was in senior, I had made field commander for the marching band, (Me being a field commander? Ha, yeah right! There's some hoes in band who will suck up to the band director to become field commander.)  every Friday night I was busy with the band, and Sam always made it to the games, Dean would try to make it. I remember Sam hugging me after each performance and saying that I did extremely well and that he and Dean were proud of me.

Then in first grade, it was Family Night, it was where you and your family could come in and play party games.  I wanted to go, but Dad was gone and the three of us were alone in the motel room. Anyways, Dean called up Bobby and he came and took all of us. Dean won aka stole a big ass apple pie to share between the three of us."

"Do you have fond memories with me?" Cas asked cutely.

"Of course!" You exclaimed. "Like that one Valentine's Day where you took me to Tokyo, I always wanted to visit Tokyo and that one time we shared our first kiss."

"It was nice. My heart started flipping."

"And when I was terrified of that storm and you protected me with your wings. Cas every moment with you is my favorite moment."

Cas only nodded and stared at the moon.

"Thank you."

"For what?" He asked.

"For listening to me ramble on about my life."

"It's my duty to listen to my favorite human's memories."

You blushed as you looked at your dangling feet.

"Let's go home, I can see the sunrise," you said before jumping off the tree and running towards the Impala.

You got in and started the thing up, smiling as you saw three sets of initials carved into the dashboard.

"You know Cas," you said as he got into the passenger seat. "I like you, a lot."

"I know, stupid. That's why we're 'dating' as the humans say."

"Yeah, you're right. Maybe, next time this can be a memory."

Before you could do anything, Cas planted a kiss on your head.

"Your life is interesting. If you need anybody to talk to, you know where to find me."

"In Dean's room?" You laughed. "No, I'm kidding. Yeah, I know where to find you and again, thank you."

"No problem, (Y/N). I love you."

"I love you too, now, let's go before Dean thinks we're making nephilim babies in the backseat."

Yeah, this imagine got NOWHERE! I'm calling it a weird filler chapter as I work on more serious ones, but again, who wouldn't like a little venting/talking about your life session with Cas?
